So, I just watched the Ready Or Not gameplay trailer here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcA7Nwa1L9I
Gonna type out a few thoughts about this:
The animations overall don't look too bad, the NPC's movements look fluid. I don't know if I like how "floaty" the first-person gun movements look - the remind me more of a pre-baked CGI trailer. The grenade effects also look pretty poor.. the flashbang and the stinger in particular don't have much visual "oomph" behind them.
The weapon sounds need alot more work. They're like peashooters compared to the sounds in ARMA/Ground Branch.
I *love* the fluid interaction menu on the doors, very SWAT-4 like and they don't seem out of place.
My only major criticism of this is that I'd like to see more how the AI and Civilians react to each other and the player in both a straight up firefight and a "breach, bang and clear" scenario. An "end to end" scenario, from breaching and clearing, through to shouting for compliance, shooting, arresting and reporting.
The AI and net-code, imo, will be the dealbreakers here. Like with Takedown, if those two fundamental pieces aren't working in the full release, it'll be DOA like Red Sabre.
Projected timeline for RON:
August 2019: Limited Alpha.
June: 2020: Limited Beta
Q4 2020: Full Release.
Like Ground Branch, I'm glad this project will have some kind of limited Early Access, so the wider public can play what has been made and give feedback. A year on from the Alpha, the full game is released. Let's just hope Void Interactive take on any kind of feedback and incorporate it when designing the beta.

Well, I haven't really been that up to date with Ready or Not aside from some of the initial proof of concept animations and whatnot. So, I can only mostly base myself on the trailer itself. It looks like a promising B game, and if played right, it will serve well as a successor to SWAT 4.
Hopefully things do turn out as expected for them.
Gameplay looks familiar - that's nice. However, it's a bit pricey IMHO atm.

The Gamespot version of this trailer (same video) has already amassed 1.7M views on YouTube, pretty impressive if you ask me! If anything, this at least tells us that with a good enough final product, the hype and community will certainly be there for this game.
Master, I think you are right about the importance of the AI and net code. The devs seem hellbent on catering to their community and creating a spiritual SWAT successor, so I wouldn't be too concerned about client to server things. I do think the animations, voice acting, and audio immersion need more polish though.
DeCapi, the Reddit community is also in an uproar about the $120 Supporter edition being a total ripoff for what it gives you. They are pushing for a mid-tier edition that would just give Alpha/Beta access, without any other discounts/goodies. I believe the devs are considering this right now.

Thanks for the pricing update, West. I might be tempted if they make a mid-tier edition. Else I'm gonna wait till we are closer to 2020.

Great trailer I really like it & hope it will be a big game in the future.
I like the animations, bullet projectiles, graphics & areas to explore, you even get to use a ladder.
Really a swat 4 remastered version lol, You can tell that Swat 4 game has big inspiration on the game.
I do think that they need to work more on the animations & A.I

Who Dares Wins!!
What I dont like about this is the pricetag it has on it. 110 euros for an alpha or pay 40 and wait an year for a beta. The fact that they're asking for 3x+ the price of the game to play an alpha is ridiculous
I have the Supporter edition and already playing the Alpha. I really hope when the Beta in June is out that we will have the same glory days that we used to have in SWAT4 and that everyones be back at it.
.
Absolutely, Shawty! I'll still be right here come June.
