Farewell - the website are closing down in 2026

Greetings all,

Time has flown by over the years. I still like to visit the website from time to time to see what’s happening, though these visits have become less frequent.

As the website is running on an aging platform that is no longer supported, I have decided to shut it down by April 1, 2026. The game servers will remain online for the time being.

Some members are connected via Discord, and you are welcome to join us here: https://discord.gg/uUQ3KmBgvg

I hope everyone is doing well, and that we will reconnect at a later time.

Sincerely,
SAS_DeCapi

Thank you, DeCapi, for all

Thank you, DeCapi, for all you have done in support of this team over the years! We could not have asked for a better steward for our legacy than our brother, DeCapi. Over 25 years of SAS Legacy is a great accomplishment. I felt it necessary to post considering the website situation as we see the closure of the website on the horizon. Just yesterday after a long break following an injury that's had me rather depressed lately, but on the mend, I met a guy who stopped playing 15 years ago who picked it up again. We had a discussion about 'the olden tymes' lol. I then realized it's been many months since I've used Discord. I had a second gaming family after SAS, Chris the Cop, many years later, and what game did they still play? SWAT4! I absolutely do not have the same amount of free time for gaming--almost zero, that's for sure, but I feel like I can slice the pie, run the rabbit, push the threat into hard corners, breach, bang, and clear with the best of 'em -- even tough my old eyes aren't as sharp and my knees are complete trash after my injury. A couple of years ago, I made a CQB Training Course for them, which I did along side a great, young, tactical mind Victorland6. The training course came out great and, it rivals and in ways succeeds the SOP Manual from our ancient yet masterful SOP Project headed up by Sniper. None of us can be sure of how much time we have remaining, and I raise a glass to the SAS members no longer walking this Earth, except in spirit and memory. I also raise a glass to all who came before, walked with us on the journey, and with hope, those who will pick up the mantle once we are gone. Salut! Cheers, mates! ... Anyone interested in a chat, please message me on Discord XRay17_1041. I may not respond quickly, but I will respond. All my best, Random.
