Hey there everyone, glad to see the site/servers still active, sadly do not have my copy of S4 because I had purchased it on direct2drive.com a while back and when it went down I was SOL. If anyone knows a reasonably priced place where I could grab a copy would def appreciate any advice and will jump back on the servers.
Just got my PC up and running again (fn graphics card issues), have been playing some ARMA3 n is running good so hopefully I get a chance to jump on the SAS Servers one of these nights,
Also I'm sure some of you may have seen this new game that's currently in dev from an indie company called VOID Interactive, currently called READY OR NOT (a lot of people have basically been calling it SWAT 5 lol) but it looks pretty decent. Best online co-op gaming of my life was no doubt on SWAT 3/SWAT 4 and R6 Ravenshield so I hope this game sort of revitalizes online tactical co-op again because I'm very sick of PvP TDM/Battle Royale games lol but we shall see...

Its questionable wether this game will see the light of day. Indie devs with big ambitions tend to fall flat on their face when its time to show the results (Im looking at you, Serellan). Trailer does look nice, animations and graphics are pretty cool but then again - nothing of actual gameplay was shown. So its all a huge questionmark about this thing.
Might as well focus on games we have at hand. Speaking of which - insurgency. Especially Insurgency: sandstorm. Whenever I play that it feels very similar to swat. More or less a spiritual successor of swat 4 but in military conflict setting. Sandstorm is still in beta but its already fun as hell to play, especially when you get lucky to be matched with a bunch of tactical minded players. You may or may not find it interesting to check out.

I'm watching and waiting for Ready Or Not... as Lekter has said, these ambitious projects "look" flashy but fail to deliver (Serellan/Takedown), or take a long long time (Ground Branch)...
Is Sandstorm any good co-op-wise? The PVP aspect holds 0 interest for me..

Coop is the soul of that game. Its pretty good and well made even for beta. You got more or less traditional infantry squad roles along with commander/radio operator team to call in fire support from hq (yes its a thing). You also got reasonable customization options (no ridiculous lgbt skin nonsense) both of visuals and weapon options.

We have eyes on some interesting coop minded games, but the question is always if they'll be released or when. Ground Branch is in EA phase with emphasis on early, but it's nice to finally be playing after so many years

Very true its been kinda quiet the past few months on VOID's end lol so it may end up getting scrapped or delayed a long time. Yeah I'm gna try to get S4 again and might check out Insurgency to get my co-op fix
So I downloaded all (3) rar files from that link you sent Random and only thing is after I used 7zip to "Extract Here" tried both passwords and the ReadMe is blank when I try opening after the extract? Not sure what the next steps are to crack it ha appreciate the help if anyone knows, thnx

Cant help you there mate, never got my swat 4 from websites like that, tbh i never gor any games from websites like that. Seeing as swat 4's company has shut down isnt it considered "freeware" at this point? U'd be safer to just torrent it if thats the case. Not telling you to get a cracked version because i am a law obiding citizen but if I wasnt id tell you to get it from tpb or kat
Sadly not, I believe. I think Irrational Games' publisher Sierra (now part of Activision/Blizzard) hold the rights to the SWAT series.
