For quite some time i played under the name of Shwahh, but when i played online on many times it was pronounced wrong so i had to make up a new/ nicely rolling over the lips nickname.
since i just moved to another house with another adress ofcourse i decided to make the best of that.
bosven 88 is my adress
a rough translation would give you
bos=wood
ven=lake
88 should be something special so i put "th"behind it as if it were a regiment in the army
therefore Woodlake88th
now when i got my Rct status my name was to long to put on in the game.
so Rasa and i settled on Lake........hence the final name
SAS_Rct_Lake,
but ill still listen to wood, woodlake, lake, dude, ShotGunSuzie88th(long story) ore "dude stop singing the lumberjacksong!!!"
that's all folks

In 2003, I saw a computer game in a shop, and bought it on impulse. My computer at the time could not run it, so the game -- with pics on the cover remining me of something else than virtuality -- got shelfed for a year or so.
When I figured out that I could play this game with others over internet, I needed a nick.
My nick derivates from Coq Rouge, the code name of Commander Carl Gustaf Gilbert Hamiltonin the Royal Swedish Navy. He is both an officer and a gentleman.
The character from Jan Guillous books is also the only true Scandinavian action hero. Actor Peter Stormare plays immaculately in the Swedish/Norwegian production "Hamilton" from 1998, with Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker from Star Wars) as the "bad guy".
Coq Rouge is French, and means Red Rooster. Upon entering this Regiment, I had to shorten my nick to just Rouge (which still is French for red, and not "Rogue" as in Rogue Spears). A concequence is that Rouge always is on RED team...

Same here, almost. I spotted Ravenshield inside Spaceworld (a norwegian game/movie store), shortly after release in 2003. "Aha, a new Rainbow Six game". I didn't play it online before may/june 2004, because I didn't realize the cd key was inside the manual... thought it was behind the cover... so the game stayed on the shelf for a long time.
When it comes to my nickname, it was originally chosen because of norwegian/pakistani actor Leon Israr Bashir (inspired by the name, not the person 8)).
Chester comes from the Latin word meaning "Camp". It is also a city in Cheshire NW England. The original reason I chose this name was because I liked the sound of it, and people could call me "Ches" for short.

My wife calls me "Pit", which is a short form of my first name Peter. My best friend in RL (here known as the Undertaker) developed it to "Pitman" some years ago. When I joined RVS I had to chose a nick and after finding out, how young most of the players are, I chosed "Old_Pitman". But this was to long, when I became a SAS_Rct, so I dropped the "Old_" - thats it!
Big12 is a nick i've had since 6th Grade playing Little Dribblers in my home town....
I wore a shirt to basketball practice that said "Big 12" on it, and from then on, the Coach and his son (one of my best friends) have always called me it, and its my best nickname i have, so I put it on the Swat name.
The rest is unfolding right under your eyes as we speak
SemperFy... well actually, Semper Fidellis is the simble of the american navy's... im neither american or from the navy, but as i have it for years, i justnever changed it.

When I first got the internet I used Youngster88 as a name. I decided like 2 years later going into highschool I wanted a better name, and I thought the word Fury sounded cool. 67 was my favorite number so I was Fury67 on AIM. But I forgot my password and Fury1671 was born.
Which is funny since there is a map creator for a Half Life mod who goes by Fury161. I am often mistaken for him. Or ripping off a boss in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, The Fury. I used my screen name Fury1671 well before MGS3 was even annoucned.
Yet I don't have an anger problem, well much of one anyway.
I've always wondered how on earth you chose Random, Random lol.
uhhhhh i don't know that there are so many things which you can compare with dragoon.
hui
Mine is simple also...
I work in the prison system, keeping people in line, much like I do here...
Make the choice to NOT follow the rules... well then I will Enforce them.
You don't want to know the HOW part, trust me.

Actually, Adze... your nickname is the last four letters in many Georgian surnames, like Chakvetadze and Kaladze.
Maybe ădz wanted to know the tangos would get the Adze?
It took some time: Rear-Man, Spike, nameless...

Fury doesn't have that much of a story behind it.
