I'm not upgrading from my GF6200 to the GF6800 I wanted just for GRAW !

Demo will be tried.

Pentium D 930, 2GB DDR2 Ram, and a GF6200/Audigy 4 better be good enough!!!

So far, I do not care for the game (Not my bag) but it looks like a pretty good game (not one I'd want to pay $50 for...).

I like the shooting system, movement would take a bit of work I'm used to the QWEASD dance not press lean and stay leaning while you side step to pie a corner but hey it works.

Hand Grenades I dislike (Also blew myself up with the first one hehe) "Hold to charge" will fly on release or full power it feels (Too dangerous if I'm in the team), although they seem easy enough to aim. Oh and after I peeked around the corner and bounced a 40mm nade back in my face (just like in SOCOM, but without the impact fuse.) it seems they actually use something like the M79 grenades had, (As I was told any way) that they won't blow up inless they go for like 8m to kick out a safty or something.

I love the weapons systems so far (SCAR-L love that iron site!!), and the OP4 AI is awesome, used cover, ,flanking squad communication e.t.c. but when I told a squad mate to "Follow me" I looked back - he ran to the edge of the street, then walked across slowly (Idiot) We then took fire when he reformed on me, they stood out in the open and died the newbie way. But they seem to be alright in combat - I just wouldn't call them "Tactical." I have yet to find a game with Friendly AI I can call "Good" but at lest this demo has guys who can shoot and use a lit'cover.

I also like how the tangos are hard to see and are soldier like, well I can still see them moving and track muzzel flashs easy but it's nice that they don't stick out like sore thumbs like in RvS/S4. The red aim thingy is ok, mouse control seems to favor Aiming Down the Sites. I wouldn't want to shoot w/o the site for more then a few meters if I actualy had to aim for a moving target.

All in all I give the demo a 4/5 & 7.8/10. I like it but I don't know if I'd buy it till it got cheaper personally. (Can run it up to medium Gfx in the demo on a GF6200)

PS: This is the ONLY game I have found where the length of the weapon in proximity to walls/cover matters worth a hill of beans if you can USE it as apossed to making it apear low ready, then light off when you want to shoot.

Well enough for my rambling!

Actually recon be advised the demos are not always optimized for the minimum specs so you should still be able to run the game but you wont get the best graphics out if it still. I usually use the cannot run demo warning as a time to upgrade. Smile

My computer is a little bit more than 3 years old.. So yes its about time I go spend alot of money on a new one. Unfortunately.

Intel Pentium 4 2.4Ghz
533Mhz Systembus
512MB DDR RAM
120GB Harddisc
ATI Radeon 9200, 256MB.

Geez that graphics card is ancient recon, thats your major factor and even then your processor would struggle.

unoffical player reviews from the forums of Ubi. we strike out possibly again.

there is too much still in the air even after the demo was released, still no word if there is a dedicated server option. what i do know is that many think it is a very well covered up port. one thing that sold me on not getting it was that there is a team leader like in LD where if that person dies, the game ends. im sure there will be more bad news once its released

Dang it, your comps better then my moms hahahah!!! (At least yours has Hyper Threading!!!)
with an upgrade to 1GB of RAM, and a GF6800 or ATI eqivulent you could "stick in the game" for awhile but in the "Long run" it'd be better to by a newer comp if you have the dough 4 it.
