Those changes and additions sound great. Can't wait to sink my teeth into the Terrorist Hunt mode. The planned dedicated server in the future has certainly pricked my ears up.

There is a quite interesting game that reminds me of S4. It's called "Blister", it's a CQB based game on Steam Greenlight where you play some kind of paramilitary/police force. First, you have to plan your entry (with drones etc.) and then you take action with all our familiar tacaids.
I think it could be worth waiting to see what will happen with this game in the future!
Apparently Insurgency is getting a makeover on a new engine. Insurgency: Sandstorm is based on Unreal Engine 4 and will be available on most platforms. They'll include coop but how it turns out, it seems like it'll only be for 4 people only, unless that only when playing in story mode.
An alpha release is expected to be available on Steam ultimo 2017.
Wow, genuinely the first and only trailer I've seen that appears to be what we've been waiting for for the past decade plus.
Will try my best to temper my expectations until we receive more substantial gameplay footage and a release timeline, of course, but it's difficult not to get excited.
Gonna cross my fingers and keep a close eye on this!

I'm trying not to get excited until there's a stable product out on the market.
Truth be told, I'm now a little sour and skeptical about these upcoming tactical shooters.
They look great and promise to give the old-school tactical shooter experience we've been waiting for a long long time, but can any of them get past the pre-alpha stage and continue to be a successful, polished product?
While they had their merits and I do understand there were a huge amount of internal issues, Takedown and Epsilon come to mind as prime examples of why I just want a finished game.
Ground Branch is moving glacially in the right direction, though.

No doubt I remain leery as well, but from my perspective, Takedown lacked the sort of production quality that we're already seeing from Ready or Not (not a fan of the title by the way - sounds like some kiddy horror game).
Even without in-game footage, their website and trailer show some seriously encouraging effort/attention to detail. RoN also seems to be getting more early online/YouTube attention than Takedown ever did. That doesn't necessarily have any bearing on their final product, but it does lend some credibility on their end and hopefully establish long-term community support.
As for Epsilon - to be honest, once it became clear that Takedown was a pile of garbage, I couldn't give a flying hoot about their follow-up project.
The only thing that really concerns me is the fact that we're talking about a no-name developer here who could presumably go under at any moment - but after the trash Ubisoft has been feeding us over the years, perhaps these guys are just who we need.

If you've even the remotest interest in tactical shooters and realism, I can only recommend SWAT 4 and a certain server...
It's a damn good game.

This next gen swat game looks decent only few tweaks here and there lol
And a sequel to insurgency .. Couldn't believe for a second. But I suppose the tactical aspect will stay in the shadows ahah

Guess his final backroom deals with the game didn't turn out well. Hopefully we can get at least some code to play with.
TBH the game has quite a few problems with it as it stands, and no updates came for like 7+ months so...I am in no way surprised at this outcome.
