The "Arma 3 -AIA" is only for if you're using the mega All In Arma mod (includes weapons, vehicles and terrains from A1, A2 and the expansions), we're not using that (the terrain pack sniper posted is entirely self-contained).
TL;DR: "ARMA 3" is just fine.

That sounds about right. It's a rather large portion you have to download the first time. When you got it all, there will only be smaller updates now and then.
Its physically impossible to get anything sorted out with connection breaking every few seconds.
Sadly, I have the same problem. Been trying to install the mods using ArmA3Sync, and the connection keeps breaking frequently. Once it reaches a certain time (about a couple of minutes or so) the Progress monitor freezes completely: no fluctuations in speed or remaining time, nothing is being downloaded. After which, I either have to pause and unpause the download (which I suspect it actually resets the download completely from scratch, perhaps the chunks it downloads aren't big enough at that point to support resuming) until it does the same thing again. Forcing it to one connection didn't help things.
So I went around the problem: realised it was FTP, fired up my FTP client (WinSCP), connected to it, and downloaded the rest of the files with relatively no problem whatsoever. That brings me to suspect that ArmA3Sync is perhaps the one at fault here, maybe the server's FTP needs some tweaking for the application to have a steady connection, maybe the application is at fault here, maybe I forewent some crucial step, who knows? Depending on how many people who play in our servers use this method to keep their mods up to date, this could pose a problem.
No. I have a wireshark capture of the issue, but no time to go through it. It appears to be a firewall/port issue, placing the server in the DMZ seems to help alleviate the problem. If it's a client problem I don't know. I wouldn't be surprised. But other repos work fine for me.

Repo moved to dedicated server, should have better performance. Make a new repo with the following autoconfig, and delete the old one:
ftp://repo.sasclan.org/.a3s/autoconfig
Old repo will no longer work as of this post.

Hi, I do have Arma 3 installed right now just wondering do I need to purchase the DLC's and do you recommend it?
You dont need any dlcs to run the mods afaik but its the only way to gey rid of the ig adverts
Ok bought all, lets see

Not sure what you mean. But in case of network issues, one should configure A3Sync to use only one connection because that's more stable.

Does it work well for you guys?

Getting error when trying to add the repository. It seems down :/
I think we took the A3 servers down including the repository. DeCapi/Fluffy can confirm?

Oh no I hope not the modset was my favourite :O
I think it's down yeah. We at some point moved the repo to Steam Workshop, I don't think it's still up on there either.

Thanks for the info. So Arma 3 is dead yes?
It's not dead player wise, but we are not actively playing it as a team, yes.
