I seem to have a problem with xfire that, whenever I exit, it decides to spin me around and fire a hail of bullets at everyone making me look like a crazed noob that wants to kill everyone. I was wondering if there was a fix as I couldnt find anything on the xfire website

There is none. Just try to train yourself in the habit of facing a blank wall away from human contact before tabbing out to xfire. That way, if the game decides to let loose an entire clip, the only damage is the arc decoration to the wall paint and your accuracy.
So whenever you alt+tab out to look at xfire it does that?
If thats the case it's a known issue within RVS period that when ever you alt+tab out you go on a shooting frenzy. Best way to fix this is hit esc first then alt+tab. Its always worked for me anyway.
Military life is having a plan. Then a new plan. Then another plan. Then the first plan. Then a brand new plan only to go back to the 2nd plan.
Esc isn't 100% guaranteed for some reason when you tab back in the game can magically "unpause" itself sometimes.
this happens to me when I enable the overlay not when I alt-tab out. pressing esc and facing a wall seems like good practice though

xfire in game doesn't work in rvs. you can use the command and such, but just don't bring up the overlay. also, set your weapon to single shot, face a wall then alt tab so you should not use up all of your ammo.
also, i'm sure you have discovered that if you run xfire before starting rvs, the game will not load. you have to run rvs then run xfire for them to both run at the same time.

I just click options in xfire and disable "xfire in-game". It doesn't work in RvS anyway, and I'd rather just alt+tab if I need anything other than the game I'm playing.
Rvs has always emptied the mag when alt+ tabbing, its not just xfire and there is no cure, apart from...dont alt+tab lol

i use the overlay for swat

On SWAT I've noticed this, switching to handcuffs should cure the problem, but would be dangerous without cover. I avoid trying to do it all together or wait until the round is over, but if it's urgent... that's a different story. As for a technical more permanent fix, I haven't the faintest of clues.
Kevlar! Dang! She was ready to go to war... Grambo aint no joke!
If ya have to tab out then put your gun on single fire or just put a frag in ya hand.

Lool, sure that's a great idea
