I'll come out of the closet, and admit that I have bought a dog. It is a mix between a terrier and a Shetland sheep dog. It is still a pupppy -- merely eight weeks old.
I have 6 females at home, four on two feet, and two cats on four feet. One of my requirements was that the dog had to be a male, as I argued another female in the house would violate the non-discrimination act. I got a male dog.
Now we are in the name-selecting process. I have started calling the dog "Tango", as this seems the far best name for a dog.
However, the female separatists at home would like to call the dog "Prince", "Fox", "Hero", "Bobby" or other common dogs names.
Now. Should I yield to the demands for another name, or should I be persistent with Tango?

Wow, I always had a feeling you disliked animals (particularly dogs) lool.
Tango is as good a name as any, its' really good if the dog can learn his name without conflict imho. Personally if it's your dog I don't see why you shouldn't get to make the call but it's none of my business <_<. Dogs often grow closest to those that take care of them a lot any way.
Just be warned, male dogs like to pee on things
