Silly Brits

I'm sorry at least here in the US we know to keep our eyes on our cell phones and PDA"s instead of driving around looking at the GPS.

Yeah that's a cool story isn't it. To be fair to the drivers, you can see in the picture that the depth sign is reading less than a foot, probably nearer half a foot if you deduct the bow-wave, yet the water is clearly much deeper than that, 1.5 or 2 feet I would say.

I drive approx 200,000 miles a year using satelite navigation, but i would never just drive down a particular road because 'it' told me to. WHAT A PLANK!!

I dont know whether u have 'Fords' in the US but basically (usually in remote villages) the road will actually drive through a small river or stream. As James mentioned they usually have a depth guage, so really theres no excuse if u cant work out that exhausts/ electrical systems do not like water.
Also as Rouge mentioned, most people that use that road as a matter of course everyday would probably have a 4X4.
again to the driver in the picture......

WHAT A PLANK!!!!

The correct thing for the locals to do in this situation is to set up a webcam.

They could call it SplashCam.

no fords here. We tend to fix the drainage problem, or, not run our road thru a creek.
 (these laughing smileys look more like they're in pain to me)

Some places there are floating bridges built on cans tho.

only those who will IMAGE(http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/co/type/2/sasrand.png)

Don't get me started on the Ford I have recently made undriveable. That needs some expensive parts, and I have the slight problem of having absolutely no money.

It's a piece of crap car.

Nah I'd rather have something that would break down less, as opposed to more. Wink And maybe something that wouldn't tip over when you drive round a bend.

I hate Land Rovers too. Land Rovers and bloody Mondeos.

Maybe you should trade the sports car for a compact and stop driving 120Km/H then XD

Ooh, km/h - fancy! But we still use miles on the roads here. :smokin:

Just for the record, my breaking the car was not my fault!

Well excuse me; my prefered measure system is a mix of US/Metric. I'll use mm, inch, feet, meter, kilometer; oz, lb, and galion. So don't mind me.

At lest you where'nt killed weather it was nature or some one elses fault.

Theres nothing more natural than a dry-stone wall eh Adze I-m so happy

And for the record Landys dont tip over, because they are real off-road vehicles. They are actually the most stable 4X4 in the world. Now if u go on to the fake Land Rovers like the Discoverys and Freelanders then i can understand your concern.

ill take a V8 90 anyday

Grrr... dry stone walls.

Land Rovers are Ok if you're gonna drive through some rivers and have some sheep crap all over the back of it as you're driving through fields. They're NOT ok for delivering precious little kids to public school under the excuse you bought one because it's "safe".

Fortunately, I need to do neither, so I use a real car.
