Short version of the below: When I enter rvs, the intro barely starts, then I get stuck on a black screen... Help! Thanks
Long Version of the above:
What's Wrong with my rvs? I got raven shield, and it worked fine... but after a training mission I was going through, when the game goes back to the menu after a mission... for me it usually flashes between weird white spots, the desk top and weird black spots... but this doesn't seem to effect anything.
Well this time, I clicked the background because it seemed to be taking longer then usual, so i thought maybe i could read through a document while i was waiting, and then just alt-tab back in... but it got stuck like that and didn't move... so eventually i logged off, and then back in... rebooted the game, but that time it didn't get past "1945" when the screen went black and the music played... nothing else happened... athena sword works fine, but what is wrong with rvs? (do i just have to reinstall it?)
Any help would be appreciated...

Weird white spots is a graphics card problem. Update your vid card driver....or if you recently did that, you may have to roll it back to a previous driver to get it to work again.
Also, since it goes bad when transitioning from video to game graphics, it's probably some issue between the game and the graphics card.
I have no idea how old or new your card is. People are still able to play it with newer graphics cards so it's probably a malfunctioning graphics card.
I know that some members have had to reinstall their game from time to time over the years.
If after reinstalling you still have a problem...you may want to replace your graphics card.

yeh Random is right, I would update your graphics drivers. The newer cards are not a problem. I run Rvs on windows 7 64 bit witha Geforce GTX280 and its fine. failing that, reinstall the game

Well I've had problems with blackscreens on startup aswell. Try disabling Xfire (if you use it) or any programs displaying an overlay on your game and at least the blackscreen on startup should be fixed.
SAS Rocks!!!
yup... xfire did the trick... thanks!
And btw.. the white spots and flashing only comes up when the game is transitioning from menu to playing, or playing to menu.... weirdness... but it doesn't affect gameplay...
Damn you to Hell, Xfire
