Admit it, the SAS mod is great and while it doesn't bring much changes to the looks it brings to the core gameplay of SWAT 4.
There are already few 24/7 SAS mod-only servers out there and it's fun to play there. The vanilla SWAT 4 TSS Proving Grounds is a great place to have fun, but how about a PG for SAS mod?
SAS EVR has more than 1 server already, and from what I've seen the TG ones are rarely used as they are passworded and only limited number of players have access to them, but the cost for their maintenance is still applied (Correct me if I'm wrong). So how about a SAS mod PG from an existent server at no extra cost? Or a time schedule of when the main PG will be SAS mod enabled?
Anyone else sees this as a great idea?

maybe ur right maven but i think alot ppl are friends of SAS and have the rights to join the TS and TG .
so why SAS should change that privileg?
im a regular player with access to the TG and TS and im fine with the situation now. i dont like the idea to make a open server for everyone the Traininggrounds are for ppl who like to play with tactical minded players and with ppl who knows how to play SAS style.
i dont think u will like it to join a TG and explain every round to new players how to play on the servers of SAS if u just wanna play without having a 10 minutes briefing.
It's nice to have a place to play where we don't have to put on our Admin hat and we can just be a player and not forced to yell, kick and ban idiots.
If we were to unlock the SAS mod server, then we'd probably have to disable frags because we wouldn't want fragfests going on in there when we aren't around.
We would also have the headache of adminning noobs.
I like the current set up as it is.
If you have players you want to play the mod with, just turn them onto our website and begin the process of acquiring a password.

I see your arguments. But you must admit it's kinda funny that the 22nd [SAS] Elite Virtual Regiment isn't hosting a public SAS-Mod server
Not at all. If you check the history of the mod. It was never affiliated to our regiment, There are many SAS clans out in the world wide wildnerness.

I can see the argument for converting the SAS Mod server to a PG, but with the growth in activity we've seen on PG4 lately, our TS/TG access list has also seen expansion. So as Lodige said, there's a good amount of people who have access to TG4 (yet I rarely see only non-SAS on it together). Just follow Random's advice in turning people to our website/the PG and so on, since people will always discover TSS before the SAS Mod rather than vice versa.

I didn't say that TG should be stripped down and turned into a pg but that one of the servers rarely used should be used for some PG sas mod sessions as it runs on the same cost
The vanilla Swat 4 1.0 has many n00bs who are not serious players and mostly prefer deathmatch modes, Swat4 TSS 1.1 faces the same fate but with less n00bs, and by far SAS mod has almost no n00bs around, in fact, many who shouldn't play it don't even know about the 1.1 patch for SWAT 4, let alone for the SAS mod release, so that would solve the n00b fest problem largely, and to make it even more reliable servers can disable/enable items as mentioned before.
Anyway, if there is ever to be a PG for sas mod I will welcome it and surely hang around. Also, even though I have limited time to spend playing games I do encourage everyone with TG access to be there (In TG) even if nobody is, eventually, I or someone else will see you in the server and join
