I just logged on the server and two folks "hut hut" and "Tviruz" decided they wanted to play by themselves and banned me and one other person before me god only knows how many else, so if i can please be re able to enter server and something can be done about that thanks.....YUKE is aware only at this point

It would be a good mod to create: limiting the vote function to leader vote only, but to this point, I'm not aware that such a mod exists.

I hope we can get this fixed quickly.
You can do a lot with the Gez Admin mod but every time some one has installed it on TG#3 they broke the server !
If I knew how on earth to do it. I'd write a server-side mod to post a message in the chat every now and then (like after every map load); simiular to the RvS Servers don't zulu or you will be banned warning
The problem is I know diddly squat about doing that.

I wonder if PC's have a mod like an XBox mod; one that floods the other person's system with data, so they start lagging, and soon have to turn off their system because of the system overload. Would be nice to Show them who really runs the server
Snipe, I believe that is considered a criminal offense in this day and age, close to cyber terrorism of some sort. Although it would be a lovely idea hehehe. But personally I think an automatic "kick the poll creator" when some one starts a voteban would be better.
An old network hacker I used to know, a rival clan (as far as his could figure from the logs). Was doing some really nasty attacks on his clans servers. But they were such amateur's so a good Firewall kept the server from lagging us out of games to much. In the end I think some one(s) got booted from their ISP over it:-)
Lets just say that clans leadership were to old a bunch of cats to be fooled buy some kittens tricks hehe. Was some nice guys but I never got to involved.

A way to do this is that everybody do like Miller did, and report usernames. When a SAS officer enters server and see the players name, they can ban them, and the cannot reenter server ever again LOL

but I would be carefull with that ... people can change thier name easily in S4 and it can occur that people with the same username come into the server but are different persons ... during my time in TG1 it occured to me that I met three "Soild_Snake"s but all of them were totally different people form totally different countries. There is no worse publicity than baning people who just entered our server for the first time...

not to mention its not all that hard to weasle out of a ban if it uses peoples IP Address or CD-Key.
Me, I think banning some one should be done at the lowest level possible -- making them have to nearly rebuild the PC and by a new copy of windows to get out of it xD

Tyically the policy we are all trained in is warn, warn, kick, ban.
We try to avoid banning *usually* but imho if ya going to ban'em, man as well do it right hehe.
