Yeah, I'm curious too cuz I'm tired of watching other clans running around with tasers^^

Yet, a tazer in the face hurts more than a FMJ round.
I haven't tried that yet

Taser use is an unrealistic way to deal with super-fast tangos set up in corners or behind obstructions who kill you before you can release the issue compliance button. Tasers are so effective that weak players use them for almost a cheat since they are free to fire tasers without issuing compliance which is wrong because you still have to warn someone before tasing them and unrestricted taser or other LTL use should result in an unauthorized use of force penalty.
When you combine the AI targeting flaw with taser use, you can watch some very ridiculous room clearing. Sadly, too many 'tactical' and 'pro' servers heavily use tasers under the pretense of saving the 5 bonus points you receive for not harming any civilians. Tasers and pepper spray and all LTL weapons are use of force, but the game doesn't see it that way.
Our rules of engagement are real and simple. Comply=arrest. Non-comply=punched or shot depending on range to target.
Why enter a room unarmed? It's an unnecessary risk. Enter with your gun up issuing compliance, and if the opportunity presents itself, punch. Otherwise, shoot the armed non-compliant suspect.
We consider the punch more of an attention-getting shove used to reset the fogged mind of a scared civilian. The safest place for a civilian is on the floor. In this game, you can't shove them down, so we try to arrest them as quickly as possible. Stopping to equip a LTL keeps that civilian at risk from friendly and enemy fire for longer than necessary. Also, you are vulnerable from an enemy intruder wandering into your area.
Tasers should only be used with close proximity live fire cover. Clearing a corner alone is foolish for that reason alone. When people taser rush corners they NEVER have someone matching their movements and taking the corner precisely together. The second man is usually just turning the corner to see the tango or civilian writhing in pain from the taser. The taser shot was certainly NOT COVERED and compliance was certainly not issued.
When you see 'tactical' or 'pro' in a server name, it usually means the exact opposite, so stay away. It also attracts noobs who see the high scores and want to play there too. Pretty soon everyone's running around with no armor exploiting the targeting glitch with tasers at the ready or using c2 tricks against tangos they are memory playing against.
Memory play is not always bad, if the tango is a cheat, then I guess it's OK to level the playing field, but do something more realistic. Perhaps drop a flashbang a bit further than you normally would to ensure that corner the super-fast tango hides in gets flashed. Hey, after all, it's more fun to play than it is to watch.

I personally find it VERY unrealistic that hostages can be stubborn minded when they are in the middle of a battleground. Seriously, like, they should run somewhere, duck behind cover or lay down in fear. And when Police/SAS show up they should be friendly, and be completely shocked, instead of "I have a lawyer! You'll see!" - "I'm not the shooter!" ..I just want to put a bullet in their heads each time they do that. They don't expirience Terrorist/Police shootings everyday you know.
And I completely agree, which is why I only play PG4.
You should see me play, lol

This is a lesson about life: This is one person. This is another person. This is one person trying to understand another person, even though it doesn't have room to download the other person into it's brain. It cannot understand the other person, even though it tries to. So he ends up overflowing with knowledge.

Since Random started to write about tactics stuff here I would like to comment, even the thread started in kinda twitter manner
I guess you are talking about unarmed contacts here, aren't you?
Against armed persons LL force should be used without a prior warning, because a warning would give them the oppertunity to threat your team and then you would be force to deploy lethal force (if I remember correct we both discussed that issue some time ago ).
Too many servers, but not all
True, and actually I would favor a quick punch over a taser deployment at my own body.
As already mentioned: not all "tactical" servers are this way
Ofc I agree with the general stuff you wrote about taser: any LL force should be used only when the team controls the situation (you called it "close proximity live fire support"). It's not worth to risk the live of a teammember to possibly save a hostile contact.
Imho one can consider the single punch as substitute for hand-to-hand fighting, and it should be used that way. So the punch is good for arresting unarmed but resisting contacts, disarm armed contacts which are temporarily stunned, or even overwhelm unaware suspects from behind.
