I've seen it before but never placed much meaning to it because I doubt most people could be very accurate shooting that way lol.
The Land Warrior projects tried similar stuff without the expensive of a special folding gun ^_^. A simple M4 SOPMOD and cameras hehe.
I know the German Military also tried some thing like that in 1945 around Berlin, like MP44's that could fire around corners but after awhile the thing wore out and broke from the bullets forcing through the curved tube.... But it was a very nice try for 1940's technology on a budget.
