I think it's better than mine. And i think you will get you a new graphic card soon...
Those who believe to be something, have stopped to become something
The processor is a similar model to one that I've had my eyes on, but you could use a better graphics card.
well there's nothing wrong with my current GPU nvidia 9400GT but I think i should get the Nvidia GTS 250 it costs $150

bear in mind that the x400 versions are more geared to video processing rather than graphics. For gaming you should look at the x7/8/900 cards.
Im not too certain about the GTXs but i would imagine they follow the same methology. I personally have a GTX280 and love it.
For 400 australian dollars though, thats a pretty tidy machine..what PSU are you running?

Looks good to me.
I myself got the E6550 CPU @ 2,3Ghz and a GeForce 8600 GT.
Do you have the specs of your RAM?
By the way, when I got my 500 GB hard drive, I never expected I could fill it. I thought wrong.
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
I'd suggest the GTX 285. It's basically a GTX 280, just ramped up specs. And they do make a difference.
It is the fastest single GPU graphics card in the world right now. I use it, and have had no complaints at all, only enjoyment.
Best to check your case if it can fit and power supply if it can power it, however. The GTX 285 is a fairly hungry beast, and takes up the space for two smaller graphics card (dual slot).
I ordered it from BFG, and though they are more expensive than most manufacturers, they factory overclock their cards, getting even more speed out of them.

chester, i agree them GTXs are massive cards, mainly due to the onboard PhysX processor methinks

Dont worry m8, you can easily upgrade that one, without digging deep in your pockets.... You more than double your backup power if you replace the squirrels by rabbits.

To even come close to that, it took running 3 operating systems, 8 user accounts, development environments in 9 languages each under 2 different operating systems, 1 copy of my home directory, a large collection of "Backups" in cold storage, about 12~15 PC games, my SOE + 2 alternatives to each app, and many, many gigagbytes of object files.
You must have one heck of a music collection!
Adelaidian,
Price is about 1.099 Euro

About half of my collection are motion picture scores, I haven't even listened to 95% of those, except a lot of John Williams (Star Wars), Jerry Goldsmith and James Horner.
