The rate of fire is just awsome on MG3. I didn't get the chance to fire it when I was in the military.
Ever since I bumped into it in GR (PS2) I've loved the MG3, my favorite LMG.
The M56 Smart guns used in Aliens (one of my favorite movies) were based on the MG42, as is the Rheinmetall MG3. But in Aliens they had'em on steadicam harnesses. I wonder if any one ever tried replacing the prop with an MG3 hehehe xD Just for the fun of it.
Yeah, thats what we do eeevery day Recon=) So when when the s**t hits the fan the only thing we can do is sit on a line fireing our mg3`s in 1 direction
And Spidey, the mg3 is indeed a good machinegun, it rarely jams, its accurate and has a high rate of fire. Though it`s important to mention that the mg3 works much better as a defensive weapon than a mg you would use when attacking. Too heavy, and too much accessories that you need to bring with you to have the weapon function properly.
I always thought the purpose of a machine gun was to set it up. Get a good set of overlapping firing arcs. And fire'em up with a few thousand rounds of ammunition when they come a'knocking
While a few squads flank and destroy the well suppressed target.
Although, having grown up with TV the Minigun has a special place for causing destruction en masse.
Not that any one in their right mind would ever want to carry one of those things around ! Looks nice but more a weapon for an aircraft or AAA unit hehe.
For an attacking 8 man squad, to have an mg with them is often vital Spidey. The mg will create a firepower almost equal to the the 7 other assault rifles combined, if not hitting the enemy that often it will at least keep their faces in the dirt for a while=)
I prefer a vehicle mounted LMG. The MG3 is awfully heavy to carry around in the terrain...
I agree Rouge..Pinkies are the way to go
I like your video Val. You did a great job just like the last video I saw.
And the music was great too.
Nice video, your Army lads arent that good at hitting the target (2/3 man figur)at 100 meters or what.
But you are right the MG3 (M62LMG in the danish army) is prob. the best ever made Lmg, When I started in the army on NCO school I was a LMG gunner in a infantry squard, so lads I know how to work that baby(got the LMG shooting badge in gold).
