FREE-to-play: APB reloaded

The servers of the game AllPointBulletin got shut down some time ago.

Now the game (+ servers) is back under the name APB RELOADED and it was turned into a FREE-to-play game.

--> http://www.gamersfirst.com/apb/

Watch the trailer - looks like to be fun... Lol

Looks like GTA MP.

Downloaded APB RELOADED, yesterday: First of all you need to download the firstgamers-launcher (kind of steam-launcher) with 14 MB and create an account there. After that you can download the game with about 3,7 GB compressed (later about 8GB decompressed). With 4 GB of RAM the game is running fluently.

Before you start, you need to choose a realm / world which you can't change later. I'm on the "Patriot (EU2)".

Against all critics from game-magazines - this game is refreshing, makes fun and has nice graphics Exclaim

Now you have to create your unique character: The possibilities are real impressive - I've never seen so many adjustments before. Creating "Cateyes" took me about 45 minutes and it was big fun. Lol

I'm on COP-side.

It's an open world divided into 3 districts and looks pretty cool Exclaim Lol

Haven't seen very much so far, but I like it. Driving cars is arcade-style, walking and running like any other 3rd person shooter, weapon-control is not that accurate though.

The only negative I can say: Loading times and that the game crashed 2 times.

Give it a shot - it's worth your time spend Exclaim Lol

And yes - I need backup here... Blum 3

Hi I also play APB and im already lvl 80 (in game level is called rating). It's a really nice arcade game, but you really need some good mates to play with or else you will get frustrated with the amount of noobs and no english speakers in your team. So when you play this, you definitely need to get some friends to play with or else its frustrating. A.t.m. I dont have that many good mates left so I dont play it so much anymore. Sadly, Im in the EU1 server so I cant play with you guys. Hope you guys like the game as much as I did Wink

Also, if you have memory problems (just as I had with my vista), you could try this video. It really helped me out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Nty9Kw3jOQ

for those that want to know, the original APB was a little like Outrun, except you could choose whether you were the cop or the crim.

Like the game, fresh stuff, unique selfmade characters, good ingame music, nice surrounding...

...but don't manage to get it run propper: About 15 times systemcrashs with frozen monitor (including 5 blue-screens) - very disappointing Diablo

To make a sad story short: I'm done with this game.

For those who can run it --> have fun Exclaim
