Favorited Servers With Ease

We all have favorites, and I'm sure that if you use tools like Xfire, TS3, Mumble, Ventrilo and other you are familiar with Bookmarks/Favorites.

Sure you can fire up your Xfire and then loggin and check servers tab to see who's online and what's up in the server(s), but why all the hassle? What if you just want to check your favorite servers in a really quick?

There are many solutions, but one I found is the best, specially for Swat 4, Gametracker.

You can go at this link http://www.gametracker.com/search/swat4/ and search for servers etc, see what's up, but that still doesn't cut it for me, 1st of all entering search results can get boring over time, creating an account is ok but logging in all the time is just plain annoying. The ultimate solution?

Create your own server status list, and this is how:

Go to the above mentioned link and enter search result for some of your favorite servers, open them, (sample http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/188.165.238.64:10540) you can see on the page something that says like this "Swat4 Banners : Image & HTML Server Banners - Get Code" Click on that link, next up scroll down and find "VERTICAL SWAT 4 SERVER HTML BANNERS" This is the banner you want, adjust options as per likes and then under the WebSite/Blog copy the auto-selectable code, open up your text editor (any kind) paste the code, repeat for all favorite servers, in text editor go File>Save As and save the file as Whatever.html please note that the file has to be .html extension. Find the saved file and then place it on your desktop (not a shortcut) Double click the save file, and viola, you have instant and loggin-free, hassle-free, search-free, content-rich favorites server list of your own!

If you are tech savvy and posses some Web Design/Coding skills you can actually create a really neat looking page/panel for yourself.

Or, you can open the created file in your browser, pin it as an app, or even create 1-click executable from the html file.

Here's an example Swat 4 Favorites list I made as I typed this discussion: https://www.dropbox.com/s/v4nh4zb86hxvcto/S4%20Servers.html

Just download and run.

Enjoy.
