Commonly miscalled as Winged Dagger, or Dagger with Wings, SAS arm patch and logo is actually an Excalibur sword with twisted handle that is engulfed by a blue flame around it.
Several months ago I mentioned that if I have enough free time and resources I will design some SAS themed wallpapers. So I did just that for all of you SAS nerds out there.
Let's jump straight to them 
SAS Ultra HD widescreen (3 Monitors, Full HD as well as 3 parts versions, 3 types of the Ultra HD wallpaper 6144 x 1536 each) A preview bellow:
About: A full landscape displaying custom designed SAS logo (I had to design this from scratch, couldn't find any stock elements to use about this so it may not look as I expected as I am not that skilled with illustrations) and 4 SAS units (Royality free stock photos used) as well as clouds mix (Royality free stock as well)
SAS Standard HD (4:3 aspect ratio) with several variants, each wallpaper is 2048 x 1536. Standard preview bellow:
About: Same custom logo used, some units from royalty free stock sites used in the wallpapers. One of the wallpapers features UK flag.
BONUS: SAS Avatars you can use for your profiles. These are crops from wallpapers with slightly altered backgrounds, feel free to remix them to your taste.

So what's next? A SWAT themed wallpaper set for the entire S4 community, also a Spetsnaz themed wallpaper set may come along. Time will tell.

just thought i should share 2 of my own creations too, so... Some more coming in the future, but for now, here they are:
This one is for Ghost Recon fans (like myself), i thought about adding the GR watermark, but then i thought maybe one of you wants to add a watermark of your own, so i left it like this.

This one is just a better resolution version of my own banner: the "Spetsnaz Banner". I made this one using Operation Flashpoint (or Arma: Cold War Crisis, whatever) with a graphics mod called "GRAA" for the Spetsnaz model. For the sky, I used a random internet image with a simple multiply modifier (i think xD, cant remember very well).

No doubt about it.
Whats interesting is that various spetsnaz units use those weird movie-like tactics in combat, a saying goes - If something is not broken don't fix it, if something is not needed don't take it.
Most if not all spetsnaz units who pass training and have a chance to be deployed fight like dogs because they have nothing to lose but only to gain, so, many will give their absolute best beyond expected on the field to both gain a meaning of their life and stay alive. It's the same men who come from the worst and become the best, and on which the entire nations internal security relies but with a good reason.
SAS is very similar in approach, perhaps that's why FSB Alfa, SAS, SWAT, MVD and other elites are well known among public for their actions
Compare those to DF, or some PMC's who get their arses kicked once their technology can't help them and who were dedicated to military since birth have families and a lot to lose on the battlefield, and you can see the difference
