Can't upload photos...

See title.

I select the photo, click upload, and after about 2 minutes receive an ERROR message. Tis' as simple as this. Hope you can make more sense of it than I can...

What is the error message?

Note that GIF format images are not working at the moment for some reason that I have not been able to work out, and also that there is a maximum filesize limit of 1MB.
