That's not very nice, Malty :?
You're really becoming overly attatched to virtuality, there's a life out there, go grasp it. We are not your best friends, none on the Internet is. A best friend is someone who you have had such moments over many years that you have made a soul bond that is unbreakable by anything. And believe me when I tell you best friends are rare.
Calm down abit, is my advise.
I agree with Cimeries.
Rev you are good playmate. I like your jokes and your nature, but after one weak we arent family or true friends. The world is big. You sure find some true friends in RL too! It is hard to search, but there is no easy way...
In game u can call me bro, if you want!:)
One team , one soul...See u on the PG!
One team, one soul...
Less talk, more play, Rev! See you on the server!

I also agree with Cimeries.
TheRev, you wen't too deep in here, real life always first. We can't be ( real ) friends when we haven't met in real life at least once. We are having fun in PG, that's for sure, but it's not a friendship.
The same thing is with me and SAS. We are not friends, more like teammates and partners.
My point is that having fun with someone is not the same as friendship, specially if that fun is in virtual world.
I hope that you understand this

Nope it's not, but a mirror isn't nice either. I was just reflecting how I feel. I fully believe that strangers are the friends you've yet to meet, but a stranger who claims to be your friend, your best friend, I'd be wary of. Hope everything is ok with the OP.
So my advice to OP : Strangers are the friends in Real-life that you have yet to meet. Go out and meet them, make a new family, this will only ever be a virtual thing. It doesn't mean this virtual thing could become reality but claiming to be family with people almost immediately is not the way to go about it.
Have a nice weekend.
We're friendly, most of us are, yet we're not your friends. None of us are friends of nobody in the forums, save for some instances.
You heard me, I ain't giving a kidney to any one of you :P. I'll see you on the servers.
Really? Everytime I come across a mirror there is this really handsome, strong and smart guy xD xD xD
Back to topic: I agree that true friends are the one of your real life.
But I also think that there are some pretty close relationsships within this community (or similar ones). Some of us spend a lot of time together (mb much more than they should ). We have fun together. We know how the other guy is acting in a team, or under (virtual) pressure. We solve problems with each other.
Imho it's not that much different from real life friends. With most of them you share also a common hobby. Sure the "real" contact is missing here (altough you might know the voice). But think about how much meeting in real life really tells you. Extreme example are serial killers: none of their friends or sometimes even their wife and kids don't know about their dark side.
There are a few persons (mb 2 or 3) in this gaming community which I call friends, and as long as people call their 3'234 facebook contacts "friends" I don't feel bad about it
ps: and the only time when you can recognize real friends, is when you need them the most
Raptor I agree with everything you said. . .
After the bit about mirrors.:p
Is the community starting on the whacky backy?

It would seem so. I have to monitor that server more closely, I guess

Doh, relax people. TheRev is an emo kid, for those who don't know emos are emotional kind of people.
The fact he shown his emotions for you guys ain't really bad, you impressed even me as a community (which is really really REALLY hard to do) hence I'm here.
He's enjoying his stay which no doubt many do, specially these days when SAS EVR seems to grow faster than usual.
I met 3 of my best friends over a simple and overall crappy chat program before we would meet in reality and become like brothers off to some 8+ years of true friendship.
However, rev, do mind one thing. Internet, as much fun and useful is as deadly and dangerous, as shiny and fancy as big apple and yet even more mysterious and deadly than ghetto streets at midnight. Overestimate or underestimate its power and you will fall aprey to it's clutches, so careful what you say or do online.
You like people here? Let them know you, and who knows maybe someday you meet some and make them your truly best friends, not scare them with discussions like this one (no hard feelings)
Here, an emo song I listened to when I was young and stupid, bet you gonna like it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mle9du_cghY

Thanks for the clarification on Emo kids, wait didnt emo kids do alot of stuff in the 60s but in those days we called them hippees.

That song's actually pretty good. Good thing you posted it.
Now, this one's more stereotypical and offensive to sensitive people, be advised.
