I have a 5-6 years old computer. Here is my rig:

Manufacturer: My self
Processor: Intel(R) Core 2 Duo CPU 6600 @ 2.40GHz
Memory: Corsair 4-4-4-12 OC 2046MB RAM DDR2
Hard Drive: Seagate 320 GB and WD 2 TB
Video Card: XFX NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX 768 MB
Monitor: Acer 19" wide LCD
Sound Card: Realtek HD Audio output (onboard)
Speakers/Headphones: Headphones
Keyboard: Standard French Microsoft
Mouse: Logitech
Mouse Surface: Carpet
Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.090804-1435)
Motherboard: ASUS P5N-E SLI
Computer Case: Antec 900

I run ARMA 2 OA no problem. Concerning your beast, I don't think the problems come from having a beast. The problems are most probably coming from the software and OS they use. When you have a beast, sometimes you want to install 64 bit software and you might get compatibility issues with the older games that are design for 32 bit. I'm not an expert, but I don't see a relation in having a beast and not being able to run a game...

My rig is AMD phenom 3.2 quad, 4gb ddr2 with gtx280 gfx and it runs fine on windows 7 64 bit ultimate. Because i havent used that rig for a while i cannot remember if i needed to run it in XP compatibility mode or not.

I run it on Windows 7 x64 with no problems. Make sure your game is up-to-date though.

Maybe AMD is the reason your not using it Lol

My rig at the moment is

650W PSU
Quad Core AMD Phen
500Gb Hard Drive
4Gb RAM
GTX560 1Gb Graphics Card

ARMA2 and ARMA2 OA runs fine.

You shouldnt have a problem running it lodige ! I think where people have problems is where a compatibility issue is present on their system. Which im sure you wont have.
