Annoying software:: top 10

article

I agree with most of it,

RealPlayer especially... Bloody piece of junk has been little more then malware with a media player for years in the Windows version. At least the Linux version is good though and free of bloat lol.

Norton Anti Virus got pretty high praise by my opinions which would have made it #2 on the list ^_^

I was rather surprised by the top dog on page 11 though and I can't argue about the writers comments because I agree loool.

Norton Anti Virus, the worst anti-virus program ever.

I disagree. It may have its quirks but I find to be a solid program.

Although it can be annoying when trying to open ports for hosting servers. B:

I must say that Norton is the jumpiest Daemon(s) I have ever encountered !!!

Ever since Mcfee and my mother had a bit of a disagreement over the right to automatically collect funds for re subscription without prior notice, he PC's ran NAV -> since 2001/2002.

It's an ok program for protecting the system but has a bit of a GOD complex, since Ma upgraded to Norton 360 it has gotten worse.

I remember when XFire was a young program trying to get NAV to understand that it was OK for it to launch at startup, was quite awhile where I'd have to toggle NAV off when I logged in and on when I logged out.

I've always been glad to _never_ have used their Firewall, which really has pissed off one of my friends a lot lol.

The biggest laughs for me. My laptop is about the same spec as Ma's desktop but my laptops made with cheaper parts (including a Sempron Mobile rather then a Pentium 4!!!) but my laptop is blazingly faster then her Desktop running NAV with no anti-virus programs on my laptop at all.
