Exactly on this hour, on this day in 1980, The Embassy snooker final was on TV and being watched by a large contingent of SAS soldiers, held up in the Doctors house, next door. Little did they know that at this time, the prime minister was signing the go code for Operation Nimrod. The date in 1980 was May 5th, but it was actually a monday...and ill tell you today that the same tv programme is on right now. No longer sponsered by Embassy cigarettes, but it is on.

Special forces, they risk their lives to save ours, no matter how small or big your importance is, they are there, keeping us safe and not talking about it.
Many things changed since 80's, terror is on rise, but you may rest assured that there are men who will never give up of their, and for them most important, your freedom and safety.
If you see them on the street or wherever you go, you might not know it's them, but in case you do, shake their hand and thank them for their services.

One of the best documentaries about the Iranian Embassy I've seen so far.

"What's the plan?
Track'em, find'em, kill'em!"
Pretty neat
Gives off a sense of nostalgia, even though I wasn't even alive when this happened...

Same here. There is a saying "Good ol' things" for a reason
Sigh, sux to miss the fun in the 80's (those of you who didn't, lucky you!)
I feel sorry for the kids born in past 5-10 years, they're missing so much fun from the past while history is being engulfed by social media activity
Wiz. That's a good find. You seem to be very dedicated and loyal to SAS. Kudos to you!

It's logical to recommend something after you've tried it yourself, so I knew you have read it. What I meant by a good find is that you found good source for purchase with decent pricing
This popped up in my feeds today, you might want to take a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=n6Z0aG9G8Mw
