Hi Everyone!
After full month of thinking I finally decided to create an account, so here's my introduction.
I am Maven, and I am pleased to be part of this unique community.
About me:
I am 24, my birthplace is Kaluga (city) in Kaluga Region, Russia. My true origin is Russian-Macedonian. I am professional freelance Creative, which means that for a living I do graphic, sound and code design. My profession is the key reason why I am almost always on the move in different places of the world, most notably Europe. I've been through many extraordinary life changing events that empowered my knowledge and experience that I posses and will to share today. I am interested in design, art, music, simulation, science, supernatural, fun, travel, nature. My hobbies are painting, poetry, fishing, camping, non-profit project participation, influencing, crafting, partying, etc.
To better understand me, use my MBTI profile which is INTJ (Mastermind) with IQ120, and to know more about me, I would need to know you better as well, so don't hesitate to send me a message and start a friendly conversation
Being a busy guy that I am, I don't have much free time to spend, however I ensure you that my time spent here will come with mutual benefit for both you and me, and most of all, for the sake of fun!
Why am I here?
At first I asked myself should I be here at all, after a month of thinking I am finally here. The reason why I joined up this small, yet very fun and quality community is because of all the fun matches I had and have on your SAS Proving Grounds 4 Server for Swat 4. Swat 4 by itself is a rare gem that I wish more people discovered, but alas, it's not the case.
I found the existing SAS members and other regular players to be experienced, matured, and friendly people worth staying in touch with, this forum is best way to do just that.
There's also a sub-reason. I rarely ever join any community, but once I do, I tend to participate in limited quantity with much higher levels of quality, which means that I create and share content selflessly for benefit of others, so stay around, and you shall discover.
What can I do for you?
That's a question you should be answering (and feel free to do so in the comments bellow) but let me tell you what I am capable of doing for you.
I can be a great friend, don't be afraid, I don't bite! I can assist you technically since I am very tech savvy. I can inspire and teach you about many things both related to my profession and hobbies/interests. I can discuss and co-operate about common-interests topics and events.
Well, there are many other things I could do for you, it's up to you to find out though.
Favorite games?
Simulators of all kinds. My all-time favorites that I mastered: LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2, DCS Black Shark, Battlefield 2, NFS Underground 2, Prince of Persia The Two Thrones, ArmA 2, MOH Anaconda, COD 2, GTA San Andreas, The Regiment, Swat 4, and many other. I also like indie games, some worth mentioning: The World Of Goo, Machinarium, Minecraft, Virtual Villagers, etc, try them if you didn't, they are worth the life changing experience they bring.
Fun Trivia.
I've created over ~500 GB of professional content, ~2 GB of which are mods, patches and tools for games (mostly unshared publicly)
For period of 4 years, one of my hobbies was being a Gray Hat. I wanted to explore the underground, learn, and use it for both good and bad causes. It serves me well today.
I crafted over 30 quotes that are all over The Internet today, perhaps you have read some.
I have split professional from personal completely, it's like I'm living two different lives.
My favorite movie is LOTR Trilogy.
My favorite guns are M4A1 with CCO sight and Ingram Mac 10.
My favorite sports are Snooker, Golf, Basketball and Ice Hockey.
My favorite drinks are champagne and vodka.
Etc.
Maven's Badge, wait, what?
That picture on the left, my avatar, is my official badge that I designed from scratch within few hours and with purpose to represent me in the whole Swat 4 community. Like all other badges, it carries messages within.
The Body: It's Coat of Arms base shape, slightly altered, symbolizes specializm and military.
The Shield: It's clear, simple and carries other symbols, it represents my endurance and my strength.
The Star: Golden, double and with Red outlining, it symbolizes greatness, experience, endurance, vastness as well as my origins (Russia and Macedonia) and my own personal value for others (I help many people on daily basis, mostly through non-profit projects)
The Banner: It carries my nickname "MAVEN" , maven in English means - An expert with unsurpassed experience and knowledge in various fields.
The Birches: Each side, slightly bellow the shield has 8 birch leafs, combined together they form 88 that is my birth year and 16 is age when I started doing things Professionally, the 8 alone is a symbol for good luck and my likes for Snooker (and 8 Ball US) The Birch is also symbol of ex Soviet and Russia in particular.
The Eagle: It symbolizes the freedom that I had to earn with lots of effort, the secret guardian that I have and that saved me from near-death events many times, peace that I represent as a person and always choose as my primary stance, lowered wings represent calm stance and ability to do almost anything that I really want to (Sky is the limit, but with wings it can be reached) Eagle's head is in prepared-to-strike stance, which symbolizes my ability to strike first should it be necessary and almost always raise victorious.
The Ornament: Symbolizes my religiousness and respect for all other religions.
Gaming skill-set:
Pros:
Rapid decision making, when it comes to necessary life endangering events, I choose the best decisions fast.
Fast reflexes, maybe too fast, this helps me be sort of like an aim-bot, but it carries a downside of early trigger.
Selfless for benefit of others, sacrifices for team mates.
Improviser, if situation is confusing, I will improvise and save the day.
Good orientation, thus my ability to master flying simulators easily.
Leader, although I don't really wish to, I can lead large groups but my best leading skills come to light with small 4-5 men groups.
Assaulter, I strike before the enemy is even capable of realizing I am there.
Technician, my vast knowledge and good logic ensure that I can easily figure out how things work and assist should it become necessary.
Co-Operative, I listen closely and carefully, co-operate for the best result.
Goliath VS David, I find it easy to target far deadlier opponents, most notably armor, thus my favorite role in ArmaA 2 is an AT-Engineer hybrid.
Etc.
Cons:
My weakness is CQB, specially lone wolfing "compromised" situations.
Dependent, I depend on my teams actions, which, should they be wrongly done have a great toll on my very own capabilities.
Preferences:
Vast open areas.
Complexity.
Co-Operation.
Advanced tactics.
Lone wolf special operations.
Ok, I think that was enough for a start, even though it's just a droplet in the ocean of interesting information about me.
I hope that you find this introduction interesting, and that you will introduce yourself to me as well.
Finally, I hope to see you around and specially kick some serious ass in Swat 4 together
Keep well.

Thanks all of you
West.
That solves it. I appreciate.
Wolcott Projects? I'm not sure.
The photo/level also appeared in earliest Swat 5 renders with Shader 3.0 graphics on display. I don't know was/is Swat 5 in development, but devs surely made some improvements on the engine, few years ago I saw some renders of the improved engine and today those photos are nowhere to be found. I also recently saw new Swat 5 DVD Cover which had 5wat as Swat 5 label and an operator with M4A1 silenced in the background, a week after that I tried to find it again but couldn't.
Edit: I found the cover using duckduckgo.com search
Is it a fan art or the real thing?

Fluffles is right, still its a good work i like it, i think if i saw that in a store i would buy it in that precise moment.
*Sigh* I was thinking the same. The funny thing is that few years ago I saw only the right side of the box art, saw the full one just today (previously attached image)
Puzzling Q - How does someone design something so well and have bad grammar? -.-
So many people wish there was Swat 5, I wonder, why are they not seizing an opportunity...

I saw the beta version of the SAS mod from moddb, it looks great, I like the MP5k it's so CQB
I also have a suggestion. Add Ingram Mac 10/11 and MP7SD if possible:P

Welcome mate.
Don't be afraid of the "lone wolf" philosophy in a team clan. Individual skills are what makes good members of any community. It is what I teach in any CQC course before team tactics.
My idea of CQB is running in with a sword.
Thanks, Ryan
Hope to see you on the servers sometimes
