Zomg, he guessed Agent Blazkowicz, Kyle Katarn, the nameless Hero from Gothic, Serious Sam, but took two tries for Gordon Freeman!

HA I defeated him! He started asking redundant questions (female/woman) and gave up. I was looking for Janice Rand, Captain Kirks Yeoman from Star Trek.

"Has your character ever fought against ninjas?" Well how am I supposed to know if the devil has ever fought against ninjas? LOL

Maybe we should play this game here in the forums and make a win/lose cap at 20 questions or something.

This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

It guessed mine correctly, in the form of dmr. Not that there are many other famous people who go by that short-name lol.

Didn't come close to Juan Rico from STARSHIP TROOPERS. Guessed Zaphod from HITCHHIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY.

Its the classic 20 questions.

The reason he gets it everytime is because through the answering of questions you will eventually give the answer away. There will be a small chance of variability in the answers he gives depending on the accuracy/honestity of the person doing the game.

lol I was impressed very good find DUKE !

it would also be a fairly trivial task to give it a database of names it's been given and look up the real answer in the end (from memory), or for an AI programmer, to just search google for it and make an educated guess lol.

I'm not sure if Akinator is backuped by google. Wondering if it is a very huge database and due to the given answers non-suitable persons get sorted out.

Interesting is (if it is a database what I think) that it's a learning database based on the given answers, cause if Akinator gives the wrong result in the end, then he asks you to give the name of whom you thought of. Do this 2-4 times and after that he has usually the right answer.

Interesting stuff - that's why it's so impressive Exclaim What do you think?

gueser

I tried it, didn't guess much, and answers were global.

If you really wanna get your mind blown, try 20Q game from Digital Chocolate (if I'm right about the name) it asks 20Qs about anything, and it guesses, most of the time very precisely about almost anything in existence.

I gave this another try. This time it got Juan Rico in 25 tries. I guessed my girlfriend and if failed repeatedly. I think the main reason is that it assumed that anyone who had acted in movies WAS primarily an actor/actress. Anyone who lives in L.A. knows that many act who mainly do other work. It did, however, pick some actresses who were quite similar in appearance. In fact, my girlfriend was primarily a writer. In any event, it missed a few times and I gave up. I was being very accurate but it seems to have assumed itself into the wrong direction. BTW, I was almost in a movie with her, BLACK SUNDAY, but decided to work that night (what a dummy, right?) I also had a major role in a movie that did not get its funding and was never filmed, though I did some small work on the script and character analysis for the actors, working with the screenwriter/producer (an award winning TV script writer)
