Theres a show here in the states called 1000 ways to die. Its hillarious. They talk about guys who do some wierd stuff and die from the 110 outlets(America uses 110) from heart attacks. Check out that show for a good laugh.

Although personally, I doubt the thing would just "Explode into a mid air fireball" in typical action movie style, so much as make like a duck hit with a shotgun, unless suitable damage is caused to the engine or fuel lines in order to cause an explosion in before the hull hits the ground (or a building, tree, etc).
Fireballs are unlikely, because aircraft actually recieve static electricity during flight anyway, static is enough to ignite fuel, so the tanks are protected. Every aircraft that is being refuellled has to have an earth cable attached beforehand, to eliminate the electricity gathered whilst flying
I have a friend whose brother does that for a living. The friend, incidentally, survived an electrocution by a transformer 200,000 volts or something. Talk about a gutsy family!

But if the chopper itself got into the cables, it would probably crash, not due to the voltage.

the cables have to be regularly inspected and its just not feasible to keep turning stuff off.

Aslong as he isn't grounded, he's relatively safe.
Voltage is not dangerous at all if you know what you do.
Generally you can say that 48VAC with 30mA or higher is lethal. On the vid it's over 10000 VAC, my guess is 20kv or above.
If you get electrocuted with current above 50mA for more than half a second, you're dead.
Also low current will kill you if you are electrocuted for more than 2 seconds
