Looks good, but i still miss the glock 17 Wink

If that comes and it works it could be an enrichment.

It looks quite nice in the videos, but also kinda imbalanced if you ask me...
But I might be very wrong, I've never been to the army so I don't know whether there are M16s with InfraRedScopes, are there? But I'm sure they'd kick butt Wink
Nevertheless I found some information on the Multiplayer question. right here
This site also links to an early Release of the mod itself on Filefront (7.6mb). Only problem is that you'd have to patch you game back to version 1.56 which only is possible by deinstalling the game , reinstall and patch it to 1.56.
Im very interested in the gameplay, so I'll try it Wink If somebody minds I'll document the test.
Last aspect is, that it doesn't appear to be very reliable... (which, in fact, is very sad since.) Their website (http://www.unfinished-games.com) cannot be found (Error 404) and the project seems to be dead.

See you back on version 1.60,
Caern

After some troubles getting the game to version 1.56 I just had some rounds with the RVS Ordnance Mod. It is very much fun :O
at first glance not at all imbalanced, eg. the thermal scopes really obstruct a lot of the screen; having the option of going stealth and having a scope on every weapon brings a lot of variety, which is very nice!
And first and foremost: there is a BREACHING SHOTGUN available Twisted Twisted (wooden doors 1 shot on handle -> door bursts; all else doors usually 1-3 shots on handle -> door opens)
This one is awesome! It also can only be equiped as secondary weapon so you have your hands free for your normal Assault weapon. The creator of this mod was someone thinking tactical indeed!

The only downside of this thing is the multiplayer.... it doesnt support cooperative games as far as i know. I will do more research with it and tell you more later!

Going to breach some doors,
Caern

Looks like all Mini-Scope are now Thermals; and from the Video, is probably implemented much like Athena Sword and Iron Wrath was.

The United States Army do issue some riflemen/marines modified M16s (SDM-R) fitted with an optical scope, among other things -- to give squad designated marksmen the ability to "reach out and touch someone" better then their peers. The U.S. Marine Corps also have similar kit online, but more distance oriented variants of the M16 (SAM-R) and M14 (DMR). But if your going to get a real IR scope going, you'll going to have a reason for using it Wink

Hmm, if the idea of a MARINE could scare some enemies, wait until they see what's in development..... Smile

okay Wink since im not very much into server hosting i didnt find the dropdownmenu for adversarial - cooperative... it does support both ways of multiplayer gameplay!
as for the scopes.... Spidey you are quite right, almost every scope has the thermal camera attached to it. The modder separates between 2x, 4x and sniper scopes. actually all the 4x magnifiying scopes have the thermals... many SMGs can go with the usual 2x magnifing lens.
Also the lens of eg the MTAR or the TAR are not useless anymore. I've always thought it was stupid to carry a weapon on which a scope was mounted which I couldnt use...
With the multiplayer experience in mind the only downside is the 30seconds more to load the game... all else is really nice although it's only an alpha version....
Spidey what do you mean by implemented?
You have to go to: options/own games/Ordnance Project to play the Mod; is that implemented in the original game?
If you had a new .exe it wouldnt be implemented anymore?

I think the IR scopes are a bit too much of the good in there... scope and silencer would be enough; adding the high cap mag you're coming a long way already. In gameplays like Ghost Racoon those IR scopes would be awesome but for CQB they are quite too much Wink

Still breaching the door Biggrin Twisted ,

Implemented, means like: a car is a machine, but a BMW is a machine that implements a car. The car is the idea, the BMW is an idea you can drive Smile

This is maybe the 3rd time this mod has been mentioned here, but afaik the first time we've heard of a usable release. The having to downgrade to 1.56 first though, sucks :\. Choice between 2x and 4x scope is cool, especially on larger maps (like Vernoa castle and the magiont line).

You forget, for the *general populate* of RvS players, there is so much smoke around, a thermal scope on almost every gun is a plus for keeping things unrealistic. Hmm, this reminds me of a funny... but can't tell that to non Troopers, hehe.

Without some great mutator hacking, that would potentionally get a few people high paying jobs in places the sun don't shine down the cubical in; it's probable that both client and server would require the mod.

Their website or the installation package might provide more details.
