I've been testing it a little and observed it to be slower than my Firefox.
I do like the adress/search bar.
But browsing sites with more than one Page in length i really miss the Middle Mouse button scroll option. is there an option to make this available?

Conclusion: It's still beta. Google still has time to improve on somethings there definately!

Every time you use IE, a kitten dies...
Wink

FF3 for me (on my win. PC). Seems fastest, and most stable.
If you have a mac, then Safari is by far the best IMO. It kicks ass Smile

I like Chrome very much, to me it's to terribly simple for a tool like a web browser. But in what it provides, it very much feels to me like, "I'm on the web all day and don't want software that gets in my way" was respected.

I only have __ONE__ problem, I can't figure out how (if there is a way yet, but it's only a Beta) to set a minimal font size!!! And the ~10pt fonts on sasclan.org are much to small to read on my 1600x1200@19inch monitor without vastly changing my DPI (120).. lol.

Why the WWW can't just standardise around a 14pt font for normal text, I'll never understand >_>

-> Spidey klick on the top right on "customize this site" or something similar... (i only have the german version.... -.-) and then go to "Text Zoom" or similar -> that should do it!
Or just hit [Crtl] and [+]

Can someone give me an explanation on why you shouldn`t use IE?

0/ It's the most likely target because it's the most available

1/ It was created as competition to Netscape and went just as 'bad'

2/ Even with IE7's improved standards support, every time I've ever had to change a valid stylesheet to "just work", it was because of IE7, every other browser under the sun rendered it properly.

3/ ActiveX is both a blessing and a curse

4/ No one can look at the source code and study it's behavior, but they can screw with it until they find a hole, then tell no one about it until they've exploited it for weeks.

5/ You have to wait on Microsoft to fix bugs, security holes, etc, and then wait for them to be pushed out, and I've met no one who can vouch for their auditing policies (although same goes for all browsers I know of).

6/ The security settings used can extend to other programs (for better or worse) that rely on IE --> Same goes for MSOffice.

7/ Lynx is more secure

8/ IE generally has a bad history when fed through the acid tests / etc.

And in my case, IE7 is has a very nice UI to use (I love it), except it's a pain to actually "do" anything with it beyond tabbed browsing.

You cannoy appreciate how bad IE is until you use something much better;
Safari (mac version)
FF3
Safari(win version)
Opera

Main couple of things for me are;
*Un-modable/ you have to wait for Micrapsoft to fix bugs (which there are many)
*Slow (compared to others)
*No menue bar (unless you press ALT, and then it dosnt goto top)
*Its a microsoft product (dont get me started)

Safari is quite nice, but I've never been able to try it on a Mac Sad

Opera however, owns IE ten ways from Sunday if the new UI hasn't annoyed everyone.
