I found a nice free gadget to add to your desktop.
If you are as confused as me regarding to all the timezones, add this one and you can set it up at your own specs, add a timer alarm for different zones.....

I got the Norwegian time, the UTC time, Nashville and London time (you can have one or as many as you want).
I found it very handy.

I think I prefer KDE3s clock applet, tell it what time zones you want, and on mouse hover of the clock it shows the current time in each of those time zones as well.
Nashville time eh? I live on Tulsa time...... figure that one out.... :roll:
