Critical Error (RVS)

OK, im running rvs on vista 32bit, with
8800GTX, 4600+ X2 (duel 2.4Ghz), 2Gb RAM, 700W PSU, m32nsli-delux.
I am getting lag when i play the game when i do not disable a core of my processor (i just set the affinity to one core)
Now what is happening is i that my game crashes after about 30mins of play with this error:

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: AuthenticAMD Unknown processor @ 2458 MHz with 1023MB RAM
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX (6925)

General protection fault!

History: FD3DRenderInterface::DrawPrimitive <- FBspProjectorDrawList::Render <- FBspDrawList::Render <- RenderLevel <- FLevelSceneNode::Render <- FCameraSceneNode::Render <- UGameEngine::Draw <- UWindowsViewport::Repaint <- UWindowsClient::Tick <- ClientTick <- UGameEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop

Anyone know of a fix for this?

I tried the duel core optimiser, but it keeps giving an error during instalation (i can get the error if you want)

Any help is appreciated,
thanks

Try updating your GFX drivers. I cant see it being a problem with your processor. As for the optimizer, i run the same chip as you and it worked fine for me. However, try http://www.AMD.com, there might be something else on there.

Also in nvidid control panel create a profile for rvs. Turn of the 3d and force of vsync

Works for me, but sometimes i get that error.
