It is a little known fact. However, wearing a seatbelt will save your life, but will nearly always injure you. In an accident below 30mph, it is actually safer to go without wearing one. Above 30mph it is definatly going to keep you alive in the event of a potential FATAC.

Ah the choises between life with a spinal injury and no life.
Wiz, damages caused by seat belt will not kill you. But no rule without a exeption. There are som cases where the belt kills, but wrong usage is often the reason.
Always have the belt on.
Try this experiment:
IMOPRTANT: do it on your own risk...
Stand on your feet, lean forward and fall face first to the floor. Try to land with your arms straight out to breake down the fall so you dont hurt your self.
So:
Wear the seat belt at all speeds!!!
