Only issue is that this is AGP...most new MotherBoards are PCI or PCIe, so this would work with older MotherBoards, if someone was to upgrade. And they are both Very Decent Cards.
Simply looking to help someone out that is still running an older system, with minimal upgrade..

Actually the process is...

PCI -> AGP -> AGP 8 -> AGP 16 -> PCIe

So chances are you have AGP 8 cards and those are more like Middle range cards now..

But still a good deal either way.

Most PC's I've bumped into run AGP slots and the cards at the local shop are very carefully boxed by the companies to mark cards as "AGP" and "PCI Express x16".

It was actually nice to see my model agnostic user manual shows you how to tell the difference between PCI, AGP, and PCIe slots lol.

If you really want to be pedantic, there are more bus standards than those stated (plus many variants) - except x16 = PCIe (there was no AGP 16). Even if you have something that says it is "AGP compatible", there are further specifics that you need to make sure of.

I think Spawn is selling 2 'decent' cards there.

Of course, people will have their opinions and preferences...but ill tell you this..
I ran a 5500 for 3 years...It never prevented me from playing any of the games that we play.
Granted..yes i couldnt play BF2 on max settings..but i could play it quite well. And for what it cost me to buy, it was money well spent.

A valuable 'spare' part for all of the historians around..who refuse to keep up with WIZ and his beast (soon to be a AMD 9600 Phenom btw)

If more than 1 person steps up, Spawn...Point them my way..my 5500 is still strong.

Let ma re-interate, I am not selling...I am GIVING them away to who ever can put them to use... Dirol

As I said, I will never use them as my system can not take them..
I have been through several computers, at one time I could use them, but not now...

Shipping and handling is All I ask... Biggrin

I have an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 PCI card in this computer and have had very little problems with games, BF2 can only run on the lowest settings but still looks great, and COD4 among a few other more advanced games can't run.

Aside from this. The FX 5200 has been a very reliable card. Not one crash due to the video card having some sort of malfuntion. I've had a very stable time using this computer, Swat 4 & Raven Shield run on max settings with no problems.
