Whats your definitive movie?

For me, I think if I had to pick a single movie that for me, defines my generation... It would have to be Terminator 2. One of the best movies of the decade imho and mutually it is in two of my three favorite genres (sci-fi and action:)). While I like T3, T2 is the best in my book Smile

Video clip #2

Video clip #3

Is it any wonder that when I was a little kid, G.I.Joe had to have a M79? and man portable M2 .50 Cal because I didn't have a toy Minigun? Interesting that the Terminator did some thing very similar with a M1919 .30 Cal in a comparable scene from T3 hahaha ! xD I believe I've also played both of the Arcade games that John Conner did during the Galleria scene.

So....

What movie for you defines your generation or part of you? The kind of movie that if you had to stuff things in a time capsule about you and your generation. You couldn't let it go without including this movie from your time Smile

The Last Kiss!

It has to be the Last Kiss, starring Zach Braff. It captures the right amount of real-life drama with gentle comedy. Revolving around Marriage, Faithfulness and modern day problems. Its makes you look back on your life and where you want to go, Its a must see.
I would recommend it to anyone.
I don't know where I would be without it.

Although I like T2 very much - can't remember how many times I was in the cinema to watch Judgement Day... Lol

I would load the time capsule with the movie "HIGHLANDER Pt. I - There can be only one" Exclaim

Beautiful landscapes, love & war, true friendship, good vs. evil, past meets present, great soundtrack by Queen.

Hey - it's a kind of magic... Lol

Ahh, Duke. Highlander is a great movie. I must have seen it 100 times.

Still Terminator is also a very good movie.

Once more I must bring fight club.

Smooth narratie, but what I think defines the age is the ultimate boredom with consumerism.

Sure, Collateral is a great movie...

...but the end is not realistic. Why a Hollywood-Happy-end as usual?

Because maybe the filmmakers tought: well if we're going to make a bad end here, then we'll look all snobby and intellectual. Can't have that can we? And in trying to avoid it, they made it unrealistic.

That's the problem isn't it tough: the end can be a) Good "OMG what is tis hollyw00t rubbish" b) Bad "stop trying to be so intellectual" c) Inbetween/we don't know "wut is this unfinishedness?"
