my mic just decided to stop working...
Audio output is working but input isnt
soundcard: Realtek HD
headset: razer barracuda
if anyone has an idea why...HELP!
oh and by the way...now i know why i was always so quiet on ts...

Mics always very annoying for me: one day I have to boost the mic gain, other day I don't. From time to time I have to retick alternate mick, mute gets switched offn (for some weird reason it needs to be on for me), and depending on wether I'm using TS or Vent I have to switch around the volume bar and the mic boost.
You know, I bought the cheapest Mic in Circuit City, the one thats on a stand. I have NEVER had Any problems with it
he best I have is the Labtec headset that came with the Speaker/Subwoofer stuff my brother dumped on me
Ithen, I've gone through 3-4 set's of Mic+Headphone a YEAR before.... Some times it is just time to buy a new one =/
Especially if your prone to dropping or pulling on it as you move around the PC (like handing other people a phone...)
You might also try and run a diagnostic on your sound card if the drivers support it, I know some Creative Labs cards have 'required' occasional fixes to the settings every now and then.
