NFL

I know a lot of you dont watch football, and by football, i mean the NFL, but for those that do, Who do you think will go to/win the Super Bowl?

Personally, i want the Chargers to at least make it through the playoffs this year. I think we have a very good chance even with all the coach changes, and losing some dominating inside linebackers.

Unless my favorite teams are involved I skip watching the Super Bowl lol. If they are playing I watch, if not I listen to the family radio (i.e. the blarring TV and Family members 3 metres away from my PC).

Of course now if a good supply of food and drink is offered, you'll find Spidey there too.

NFL -- is that the rugby look-alike league, but where the players are protected with helmets and pads? Biggrin

Super Bowl -- is that an extra large bowl of corn flakes? Blum 3

NFL=National Football League

Super Bowl is the Championship of the NFL, and now, I'm pretty sure that it's the biggest sports event in the U.S.

Well, if you compare the size, strength, and speeds of players like Shawn Merriman and Ray Lewis to rugby players, it would be pretty smart to wear pads. Biggrin

I always thought the World Series was the the biggest in the US?

Why they used the word 'world' I'll never know.

I think there are several good teams that have high potential for making it to the big show this year... AFC well you have to look at Peyton Manning and his explosive Indianapolis Colts as early favs. The San Diego Chargers are going to have to prove to me they can win when it counts. I expect them to be there but advancement during the playoffs will be difficult. The Baltimore Ravens will make a run and could be a defensive force, with players like Ray Lewis. Can Vince Young lead the Tennessee Titans to the promised land? They could be considered a very dark horse, so dark you can hardly see them. However I will root for my team.. I think they have one of the hardest season schedules this year so it they make it they will sure have earned it.
Well let's see, the New England Patriots should make the playoffs but can they find an answer to Peyton?
Gosh I haven't said a word about the NFC now..... hmmmm what is there to say about them....;)
But really now I can see two teams from the NFC East but who will it be.... Eagles, Giants, Cowboys, Redskins most likely in that order but I like Washingto and Joe Gibbs, so what? So the Eagles and Giants make the playoffs from their division. Seattle, Chicago of course ( best NFC team at moment) and probably the Carolina Panthers.
So in the Super Bowl: how about a Mississippi mud brawl: Colts vs Giants and younger Eli vs older and better brother Peyton with Peyton winning another ring and mvp!!!!! I said it I meant it and I'm here to represent it.... free will of speech, don't step on my rights and you won't end up in my sights!!!

I don't fully know the rules of american football, but I know they're supposed to run with the ball certain amount of yards without dropping it to the ground. And then they get an opportunity to get extra points by kicking the ball inside those "things" at the ends of the field :).

lol, cowboys? well, yeah, any team in the NFC has a chance, but the AFC is much stronger than the NFC right now.
