Not from somewhere comes the German fairy tale where it is said:

"Sieben auf einen Streich" (understood Spidey?)

--> means: "Seven with one strike" Dirol

"What's the plan?
Track'em, find'em, kill'em!"

Yeah the G3 is really a nice rifle ... though it doesn't beat my favourite ... the Sig 551

G3A3 is the only military rifle I've fired, and it's sure a lovely rifle. A little heavy, but perfect for the norwegian terrain for instance.

The G3 is a gas-operated rifle ... that's probably what's making it a little heavier ...

G3 is not gas-operated. G3 has roller delayed blowback. G36 is gas operated.

Hmm ... now that's strange ... G36 is gas operated ... though it's lighter than the G3 XD

Alot of plastic in G36. And the caliber is not as big as the G3.

I think the G36 was also developed before BAE Systems sold H&K back to Germany. I don't know if that had any thing to do with the change with the choice of Gas Operation over a blowback type system like the Roller-delayed blowback the G3 and MP5 use.

The M-16 and SA-80 are Gas-operated rotating bolt designs iirc.

First of all, the entire norwegian military will the the new hk416. It is also now decided that, the good old mp5 will be switched in to the mp7 as our new CQ Weapon. Some hk417`s will also be bought mainly to be used as medium ranged sniper rifles.

These are the versions of Hk416, and i think all of them will be bought and issued, dependable on purpose.

HK416 D10RS (10,5" / 267 mm barrel)
HK416 D145RS (14,5" / 368 mm barrel)
HK416 D165RS (16,5" / 419 mm barrel)
HK416 D20RS (20" / 508 mm barrel)
