Yea of cause I thought about that, but then again that will decrease there hearing capability with 50% if not more and there awareness will be warningly decreased by that. Oh well maybe they have some advanced earplugs, I dunno.

They enter the Special Forces with perfect hearing... and probably leave with some reduced hearing :(.

The drill instructors recommended us to use both earplugs AND earmuffs when firing the G3. Then you'll only hear a muffled boom, which is pretty comfortable on the shooting range :).

Some earplugs only filter the really loud noises out.

No, like a C9 reduced to a pistol shot.

Hahaha. Almost all of the videos on the SAS that have been posted have already been posted by me when I joined (and before my time). It's a conspiracy, man!

Yeah, it's a nice vid. SAS Survival Secrets is pretty good for teaching you the basics of their tactics. The thing I love about SAS Survival Secrets is that, after watching the videos, you can practically reinact most of what they've done in games (IE CQB ops in RVS/SWAT, and their field ops in Ghost Recon (not Advanced Warfighter).

Thank you very much! Now I can see the whole series Biggrin

Yeah they most likley use filtered earplugs which works great!

Can hear people talk but not big bangs or noisy machines Biggrin
