I just ordered mine to day, and the lady at the store told us there was a one month wait ahead. Hot damn! I bought the zelda game to go with it (what's nintendo without zelda?)

Its all about the Xbox 360. 2 of the best console shooters are only for xbox.
Can't say I will, I started with a nintendo though and then I moved to PS probably because most games released to nintendo, has been for the kids.
Well, some start titles are Metroid Prime, and Zelda. Kiddy? Definitely not.
Also, this isn't really a "graphics" console, it focuses more on it's motion-control features.
Besides, shooters on a console? Get a grip, there's only one platform that really handles shooters and that's a pc.
i think that wii graphics are childish, my friend found out the hard way that if you dont put the strap on the controller the thing flies out of the hand into hs telly.
I don't think I will buy a new console like Wii or Playstation 3.
Photo-equipment has first priority for me these days.
If you want graphics, get a XBox 360 and huge HDTV like my boss
Personally my only interest in future console games are Soul Calibur and Metal Gear Solid part V, and the next Tekken game. But since I'm to poor to afford them or the unit, I'll stick to SAS games xD
Given a choice between all of the new consoles my order of preference would be:
Wii (I'm a Nintendo brat)
Playstation 3 (Don't care much for Sony but PS is good stuff)
Game Cube ( Hehe)
XBox 360 (I Don't want it :P)
One of the best shooter i have ever played in on the XBox: Halo and Halo 2.
PS all the way. Killzone 2 will blow Halo 3 away in the next gen consoles. Halo had a dull storyline I thought and it was too much of a one man army game. I don't really like one man army games lol. Though I have to admit when you work with the marines it was kinda cool

TBH the one man army crap has been the 'standard' for years, just look at the games that kicked it all into over drive. Doom, Quake, and Wolfenstein 3-D e.t.c. (not in crono).

Killzone looks like a Playstation version of Gears of War from what i saw in the trailers.

havent got any good graphic and yes it is kinda a childish one, but the motion thingy is a kick-ass thing. We got Zelda, Rayman, Wii sports and a monkey game for the smallest, really the graphics arent good at all but the fun is 10/10 and that strip.....you dont drop it that easy again, it is really easy to control.
Xbox 360
Is a good machine for both graphics and fun. Gears of War is so far the best shooter i tried for the Xbox 360 and Halo 1 and 2 is maybe alittle "One man army" But who dont like a good story line and kicking some allien ass???
PS3
is the area i dont know, only that it isnt cheap, and uses the same graphic chip as a computer, so it much more cheaper to buy new things to the computer, but there is still thoose games as F1 aaaaaannnd.....others i think... :?

If I'm correct killzone was here before GoW. So how is Killzone a version of GoW? I'd rather think it's the other way around if the games are somehow simillar.

I own a Wii, and I must say I'm not too impressed with it at all. Zelda's fun, and WarioWare is fun, but that's really about it as of now for released games. Trauma Center is just like what it was on the Nintendo DS (except now you point). I'm still going to hold on to the Wii, though, because it's the only new-gen console I have right now and new and funner games are bound to come out hopefully by this year and next year...

On a side note, i heard they were releasing Vegas for the Wii. Now that i would like to see when you deploy a flashbang, on the other hand. If the game is as toss as i think it is, i would be tempted to arm my self with remote charges.

that would be very intrsting, vegas with the wii, that'd be cool. Other games on the Wii that Wii owners should consider, Ray man Raggin Rabits, and Wii sports. Rayman is helarious, i went to miami to visit a firend of mine, her and i stayed up all night playing that game, we could not put it down until finally we passed out, but that game is hilarious i swear, all wii owners will enjoy that game, also precaution, strecth a little before you play, and have a steady hand for a few games, have at it, i'll post a link to a topic i will post in afew days all the games coming out for all the systems including PC so you all can check it out.

So, I finally have this console, and I must say I like it a lot. The sports game you get with it is just great fun, because your movements are translated onscreen, and it's as fun as it looks.
It even got better when I got Wii play and a second remote, so me and my dad (who is a co-owner of the console
) can play against eachother in a dozen of games.
As a real game, I got Zelda, which isn't too hot on the movement-to-ingame action thing. Attacking is replaced by several small movements with the controllers, so no "real" sword fighting. The game is great at any rate.
For me, a guy who is completely unable to use analog sticks, this console's control scheme is just fantastic.
I had a go on a mate of mine's Wii with a golf (ugh) game. It's a good gimmick with the remote control I think.
But I reckon if you're sat on your own playing it, you can't help but look like a complete tit.
Playstation 2 with Pro Ev beats all at the moment!
I personally find Wii boxing more fun than the other games.
Warioware is pretty great, too, but that's about it.
PS2 was designed for Pro Evo Soccer

I enjoy Tennis and Golf too. Boxing is getting a bit hard, I just can't seem to beat those 800 guys.
I'm consider getting CoD 3 for it. Seems much fun.

Not dependable to get a release for Nintendo systems these days, because companies lost to much money on Game Cube ports compared to PS2/XBox.
shooters for the wii are a bit wild to control at first. ive player red steel and CoD3, and id have to say CoD3 is better, what with the aiming and stuff. plus close quarter combat is great too. if you play ur pc shooters all the time, ull pick this up really quick, and it works.
my only drawback is that zooming in with a weapon on red steel is a bit naff, but since its so easy to kick ass with an uzi or an FN SCAR, the automatic fire will blitz anything in its way.
its only the start of the revolution. hold out a bit longer, and you will be amazed
