Training Ground #1

Paying some company to host a server is not likly to be cheap & it'd be monthly. I don't think sasclan.org is noted for lots of petty cash stashed (^_^)

I've seen hardware any where from a few hundred bucks for a high end desktop like server to a few grand for a real server machine. + You gotta get some really good high speed internet e.t.c. Which would be the same boat we are now only a better host machine.

I wonder if any other servers has problems like ours or if we are one of the few teams who use home hosted servers curdisy of the members generousity.

I know it looks like a shitty company, we might need to ask some clans, who might know a good one.

Anyways It would be about 23$ per member a year, if we chose that offer.

Remember what we would get for the money! It's simply not working as it is now.

WT need $250 per month. divided by the ppl we have makes it quite cheap. However, the question comes from, who pays if someone else doesnt? Who you be prepared and able to foot the whole fee if asked? would Shield? if not the servers go down.
In an ideal world. We could simply say, lets go get a server box and all pay equal amounts. But its not an ideal world is it. If someone knows of this ideal world could they send me the plane ticket :laugh:

If we did hire a server rental it'd be good to stick it in neutral ground, some thing good for both Euro, Can, and US players. CA might be good for that since most of the US lads seem to be towards the east.

If I could I'd be glad to pay, one shy thing about it is that like WT's situation it would probably be minors exempt. Our offical minimal age is 16 so future trp's would retire on their 18th BD for sure (*_*)

logistically, the most suitable place for a server box would be either NY or London. Due to the trans-atlantic cable.

Just like the Olympics......London gets my vote

Yes Darkwolf, Unfortunatly our server litteraly blew up. Therefore we dont actually have an Rvs server at the moment.

So who wants to set up 24hr watch on the SWAT4 server ?

I have finally been able to restore TG #1. It is up and running right now in fact. The ip has changed so you will need this, 68.53.36.252:7777 I don't know how long I can keep it up but we shall see. Enjoy,

:cry: :x Well that didn't take too long. Evidently something happened during the night here because the server has gone down again... That lasted almost a whole week. I don't have the time b4 work to see if I can do anything but I will check her out tonight when I get back home from work...... but from the first look I am not sure what happened. I will post more when I know more.

She seems like a very sensitive girl, have you ever tried giving her a nice box of chocolate or some flowers?

Hope you'll get her fit without using too much money on her.
