Working in Xp 'Safe mode'

Does anyone know how to get into safe mode?

Ive tried F8, thats Bbs menu.
Ive tried backspace, Del, Delete; they are bios
Ive tried all the F keys, they do jack.

I could really benefit from doing some work in 'Safe', any clues?

go to the run menu and type msconfig, click boot.ini and check /safeboot. Reboot and your in safe mode.

Spidey's got the answer, as usual, but I don't know why F8 doesn't work. What do you mean by Bbs menu anyway?

Thanks Spidey, that worked fine.

Adze the bbs pop-up, in lay-mens terms is the selective boot device, where u choose what drive or network you wish to boot from.

It's usually F8 or F10 on the comp's I've worked on.

How ever it's useless for booting into safe mode, it's only really good if your booting off external media or the LAN.
