Hey guys!

Hey everyone I was just droppin' a line to say what up and all that good stuff. Well I can't tell you how far my heart jumped into the sky when I saw the lockdown demo was out. Finally I think something will be able to pull me out of World of Warcraft. That game is so addicting and I almost have my warrior to level 60....(I'm at 57 currently). It's allllmossst over haha. So yeah I hope everyone is doing ok. Alot of drama has been going around at my resteraunt. See earlier this week a bunch of servers had their sign in numbers stoeln by another server and this certain server charged up 8 $30 gift cards from 7 of our servers. So basically she stole $210 of gift cards. THEN she gave each gift card out singlely to tables she waited on. Basically her tables got free gift cards. Well management couldn't figure out who did it so they said well that's fine each waiter that has a suspicious gift card purchase on their account will have to pay with it with their own money. Oh man everyone was outraged. It was like a blood thirsty man hunt to find out who stole all that money for gift cards. So yesterday I walked in and my friend Nathan who worked there said Scott you just missed it. I said just missed what? And he said they just escorted Sally out of Firebirds with the police. She was the one that did the whole gift card theft. I was shocked. Sally was one of the nicest people there. She was always happy and cheerful and she really seemed to have good morals. Why she did such a thing blew me away. So....of course she's fired and still under arrest I presume. So yup...lotsa stuff goin' down over there lately. Sally best be glad she didn't tap into my money. Oh man....Surfy would definately have to pull out the L85A1 in her face! Mmmmmhmmmm!!! *shakes head* Hard to imagine what people do these days; terribly tragic indeed I think. So ya that's my story for the time being. I hope everyone is doing well and I hope SAS is stayling alive and healthy. Hopefully you guys will play Lockdown because I know I sure will be! See ya later! Happy new year! Biggrin

Hi Surfy!

Don't get too excited about Lockdown. Almost all members think it's rubbish, and almost none of us will be buying it. The Regiment is what we're waiting for now. See other topics for discussions of Lockdown.

Glad to here from ya, and sorry to here about the crime.

Won't be finding me in lockdown inless SAS goes into it hardcore which I doubt will be possible inless an "SAS Mod" becomes the standard lol..

quitting cold turkey might not do it but it can work for some. The way I kicked a game liek that was over kill it play it for as long as possible and hten when you get tired keep playing it i got tired of it after that and havent played it since

just do the same thing spidey, listen to the same songs over and over and over again and then when you get tired and want ot move on listen to it more and you will get tired of it. if theres too many songs like you want ot quit the genre well change radio stations and stuff like from country go to metal

The best way ever to tired of a game of any kind and finaly leaving it is buying and playing its board game or pen and paper based RPG verison (if in existance).

For example, I finaly shaked off my DooM blitz by obtaining the DooM board game. A lot of World of Warcraft fans in the gaming society club I belong to started to play the WoW board game/and the d20 Warcraft books from Wizards of the Coast and soon most felt uncompelled to play the PC game as they've yet to finish the board game. X.x

As for Lockdown..... meh, I'll pass that one up. As I've said before, I've played it before last year on xbox and nothing about that game is Rainbow Six. It's more Tom Clancy's Counter Strike: Lockdown in a polite way of saying it. And I don't really need another Counter Strike when I already own all verison of CS on Steam. Chalk that one up to LAN party fun.

As for your co-worker, Sally, she must have had a bad run with the management at the work place and felt like she needed revenge before finaly calling it quits. Managers can do some really akward things to employees to make them feel like they're troublemakers, unwelcomed, or worthless to keep working for them. I won't be surprised if the local management or the higher branch was seeking to terminate a few employees to balance the budget or hire new faces at a cheaper price. And what I'm banking on is that Sally didn't just take the punishment without quiting but struck back in where it hurts in a resturant business considering that majority of such businesses are a marginal profit system where even a few hundrend dollars of misplaced goods could hurt long term operations. If she did it for revenge, it still doesn't counter the fact that was a terrible thing to do. If she had such thoughts she should have just resigned and just moved on. I'm afraid now she has a criminal record that will forever haunt her attempts to get a decent job.

Why so much help to get me away from WoW? Miss me that bad eh? I love that game! I love my guild too. My guild is sooo weird. They say some of the weirdest stuff ever! WoW related AND unrelated. We have a ball. I'd say some of the things they say but due to the level of pervertion of their comments I might lose my SAS forum account and that would not make Surfy happy. Just to let you all know I've kinda dropped my old nick name Surfy. My characters name on WoW is Swatness. Everyone calls me "swat" now. I get the name from the movie SWAT because I liked it a lot. And I go around tellin' my friends here better not mess with me or I'll go SWAT on ur ass. And they are like Scott shut the hell up so now we all joke and and go "ohh yaaa so SWAT" whenever we think something is cool. We have fun. Sooooo I'm thinking maybe I should change it here too? No?

And why do you guys not like RSLD so bad? I think it's fun. The graphics are pretty cool too. My 6800 Ultra LOVES it. I don't get any blue screens on that game...so that obviously means the graphics engine was nicely designed. I don't like the fact though that the remapped the default keys from Raven Shield. Like I saw Ctrl was the button to throw a grenade. So I pressed control once and then dink dink dink rolls out a grenade in front of me. I was like...uh oh. BOOM!!!! And I wiped the whole team.So i figured out you hold it down...aim with mouse...then release! Works like a charm hehe. Too bad I had to learn the hard way. I noticed the demo has some bugs but hey I'm definately going to be buying it. Along with you guys leading the way I've become a diehard Rainbow Six fan. Blum 3 And by the way I was so happy Ding Chavez is a main character because he's my favorite. So ya. And what's this new game comming out? I'm interested! Keep me updated! Cya guys! Biggrin

lockdowns controls are more like Halo with having a "Go to" command.

Gameplay for coop is horried for our style. I think alone for servers we'd need 2 for members and 1 for the public - and that sucks for recruitment (+ It is a UNTACTICAL game at heart)[/b]
