Nice bit of kit

OK so everybody heard about the cruise liner that almost got hijacked off Somalia a few days ago. Take a look at THIS LINK, and drool over the latest in anti-hijack technology. This baby can cause permanent hearing damage at 300m. I want one for my car Lol

Also, check out that real picture of the actual hijackers with their RPGs. Scary stuff, they actually fired those at the ship and one came in the window into a guest room and the guests were actually there at the time! (although somehow not injured).

Note the last part also, that the head of security on the ship was an ex-Gurkha. Not a great surprise, ex-Gurkhas are actually used on a lot of cruise ships while in 'dodgy' waters.

Cool, a bit BIG & HEAVY though, at near 3feet/45lb. If you could make one the seize of a flashlight, or even a carbine & use a narrow beam that would only effect a impact area (i.e. some sort of LTL soundwave gun) I'd want it in my swat bag of tricks. Other usefull technology would be Radar Sensors (like RvS HBS, but is actually works well; it's is like a suitcase in seize if I recal) and last I heard, the US is spose to have sound based weapons capable of killing instead of just damaging your ears. (could that R&D and the LRAD be derivitive works?:D)

Although just a shaving mirror on a stick, a few NFD's; with a pack of Ammo for the weapons is just fine by me.
