If it wasn't Ubi, I'd get my hopes up but here's to hoping it's a dream come true. For a Ubi project it seems almost insane to see PC being a focus :-/.

Those specs are also pretty high but not that bad. You basically need a Ivy Bridge Core i5 based desktop to pull that off. Pretty much anyone with a gaming laptop may as well cross their fingers or hope they got one hell of a Core i7 one.

I've got a several years old Intel Q8200 @ 2.3ghz here paired with a 2011 Radeon 7750. No way I'm running that

In terms of Passmark CPU score that's about equal to some of the dual core Celeron chipsets my employer has had me playing with in the lab. Or one of them Ultrabooks with a second gen Core i5 dual core. Graphics card wise you're probably toasted if the specs chart is accurate at all for minimum. GTX 670 vs HD 7750 doesn't bode well and even I might have to tune things down with my card.

The good news though is their specs sheet is likely to be the minimum they're testing on or just the slowest developer box they've still got on hand. So it's quite possible you could get by with a more decent GPU if their code doesn't end up overly bound by CPU time rather than threading.

There's been very few games I've seen lately that need more than a typical Core i5 desktop (the range they put on that chart) for CPU. I can't say that I've tried any of the older Core 2 era for games though, even if they are some really nice chips :-).

From what i can tell its random. Maybe in the beta they'll allow servers and what not.

How is the first impression?

It seems like it'll be fun and SAS tactics could be implemented if you guys pick this up as an official game. However, its PVP right now. Not really sure if they are going to add CO-OP against AI or not.

Looks like coop and solo modes are going to be in there.
