Two new tweaks added - VRAM and RAM memory leak fixes and master audio enhancements.
If you apply the audio tweak, please share your results in comments, I am curious
Also, with all the whistleblowing and spying stuff in news, can't help but remember how so many people lack proper security on their systems, if sufficient number of you requires assistance I am willing to create a separate thread complete with full professional "paranoid" privacy protection instructions that cover all from system trace clearing, antiviral protection to firewall on steroids and custom filters. Do let me know.
If you mean about the latest tweak I added to the guide, I need more details from you in order to give you specific instructions on how to use. Otherwise this tweak uses general rule-of-thumb method that should work for everyone.
Assuming you want details about how to use Stealth Ports and the hosts filter I will need some information such as:
1. Did you apply Stealth Port method on your system?
2. What application would you want to become Stealth-Friendly?
3. What are the ports your server (For the above application) uses and does your server have a static IP (if so, provide it)?
4. What Firewall do you use?
You can answer these via PM's.
Also, I forgot to mention something about the tweak that may be useful:
Stealth Ports tweak works for both Dynamic and Static IP servers. You can use the very same method to Whitelist or Blacklist IP's for specific applications.
An example is if you run two sepearate servers (RainbowSix and SWAT 4) but you want to ban IP's or IP ranges respectively. Besides the vanilla tools for the two games you can use Firewall rules with Stealth Ports for specific IP/IP ranges and achieve same or even double ban effect.
A more creative approach can even make partial filtrations such as special bans - Ban microphones only for a specific player, ban player from server on specific dates and times, switch certain features off for specific applications etc. The only limitation lies within your firewalls capability (filter options) and your imagination. Some advanced firewalls have capability of cooking up user data and making GUID's so that an abusive IP can't change IP address and commit illicit actions again despite the IP ban. These are usually commercial Firewalls such as ClearPackets.
After long search on the nets for a solution I couldn't find anything of use, so I decided to experiment and finally managed to fix what TS3 devs didn't want to.
My firewall used to conflict with TS3's packets, but that's not all, TS3 has some serious issues devs are not interested in resolving (not a single reply on their own forums when users post such threads which get insta-locked)
The issue is, several memory leak holes in TS3 dating way back from the 3.0.0 version itself. Fortunately I found a way of at least temporarily fixing these.
Results for TS3:
Before the fix:
-50% and more processing power even when not in channels, would jump to 80% when a lot people talk, tested on two systems.
-Around 100mb of ram used (not a lot these days, but still, TS3 is a tool not an utility with advanced functions)
-Crash over period of time (memory overload due to the leak leaking data into the ram memory)
After the fix:
-0 to 1% idle process activity.
-1 to 5% process activity when in a channel and around 8% when a lot of people are talking in the same time as you, otherwise the processing activity floats around 5% but is usually at 1% most of the time.
-No crashes!
Mumble:
Before the fix:
-Around 20% process activity in iddle, around 40% during use.
-Delaying speech, creating robotic voice, in extreme cases not even transferring data.
After the fix:
-1% process usage flat, even for 256kbps codecs!
-No delayed voice, no lag, robotic voice is rare.
So if you have issues with your TS3 or Mumble like I did, head on for the tweak section and try this out, at your own risk of course.

Good stuff. And yes it is staggering what info you can 'steal' even over an open wifi

Added a Stealth Ports for Hosts field.
This should help all of the paranoid security "nerds" gain hosting capability for specific applications (games for example)

As this thread is quite long now, might be worth adding the link to your sig
Lt_Col WIZ, VC, MiD (Ret)
There, I added it.
That's a good idea, sadly though the 255 char limit kind of kills the fun. I was going to attach 5 links/guides
