Banned weapons

can any body tell me why the USAS 12 Shotgun is banned on TG1?

Because it's a little unrealistic. I doubt any law enforcements and special forces use USAS 12.

The USAS 12 is a concept weapon that has never reached broad scale use because of issues with recoil and, most importantly, cost. I think its a great idea that SAS bans weapons and equipment that are not realistically viable (Smoke is viable, but the mechanic in this game makes it unbalanced). Kudos to all the SAS admins who make these decisions (As long as they don't start restricting the guns I really like. Blum 3 )

to be quite honest a shotgun based on the design of the Colt M16 is a flawed from the start. As lucifer stated the recoil would be unmangeable, plus you would get a rubbish shooting platform when using it.

bring on the remmie the best service shotgun in use today !

my opinion though lol

The USAS is fine without being in. The good thing about using the SPAS 12 or M1 is that you are limited (slow Rate of Fire) and have to fire in a semi-automatic fashion, and the eight rounds make tactical reloading better than a USAS.

The thing that kinda-sorta upsets me is that there's still a selection of, well, completely useless weapons like the AK47, Skorpion, Galil, etc. Weapons nobody uses in the server except for a few pubbers. Most people stick to the L85, G36, AUG, M4, or MP5s by my observation. Everything else is just... there.

I play with the Galil Arm, FNC, and the M16 sometimes, thier not useless at all.

Personally, if I'm forced to be on the run as RG. I find the USAS-12 effective because it has the area effect of the buckshot with the ammunition capacity/reload time of an AR. To keep me in the fight with a deadly weapon to suppress the enemy with more accuracy then a LMG (also area effect). But generally my preferred shotgun is the Benelli M1 pump action with 6 shells Wink

No, not just the pubs but most people hehehe.
While the big 4 often makes my favorite element job (R2) easier on the stealth ops. I enjoy using every weapon. As a Recruit, I learned to use every weapon in the game with deadly effect, on fully automatic, without attachments, and firing in short-controlled 2-4 round bursts. Dang it, I miss my 40+ hr a week pure training time and head shots at 25m with a double tap from my Mac-9/11+SD. Glad to see the younger generation can make me look old and decrepted on marksmen ship though Wink The M4 and AK74 are two of my favorite AR class weapons fyi.
